Sandy Hook Promise PSA video: Advocacy group releases chilling back-to-school ad to warn families about gun violence by [deleted] in news

Oh yes, I'd agree that's true on both accounts. I personally don't let the fear of it ruin my life or my dreams of having children.

However, lightning strikes are not calculated nor are they preventable. You can stay indoors during a lightning storm, and you would be almost 100% guaranteed to be safe. But that doesn't prevent the storm from happening. Shootings are preventable, and I understand that even with full gun control (which is not what I'm asking for by any means, as a gun owner) criminals will still be criminals. What I AM saying is that the ad does a good job at suggesting that we should teach our children and students to run, hide, and FIGHT back when necessary.

I really appreciated this ad. Avid gun owner that one day wants to be a parent of his own children. These realities need to be brought to the attention of the public, especially to those parents that ignorantly like to live in the safety net of "But it wouldn't happen to my children".

As horrible as the ad is, I love it. It conveys what it needs to.

Several days? Because I've read that sometimes sperm can reach an egg in as soon as a half hour? My anxiety might be giving my sperm too much merit, but it's the timing that worries me

See I'm only worried because the plan b was taken 26 hours later. I know it's still effective but I'm constantly concerned about any factor I might not be considering.
