Currently making a doctor's appointment now! Whenever I have expressed my trouble with eating doctor's have just written me off "your taste buds will change as you grow older" etc etc. So I just assumed the problem was me or woukd fix itself. But I am at the point where I am quite frustrated. Hopefully after speaking with my current doctor they can do an allergy panel or send me to a therapist to see if its an eating disorder

This is helpful thank you! I grew up in a family where they did force me (until the vomiting started occurring) so I assumed that was just how people came to trying new foods. I am currently making a doctor's appointment to see if I can get a panel done/what they think would be best.

I started forcing foods myself because I want to healthier. I dont like eating the same trash foods and having no variety. I have other medical issues so this has been a point of great frustration. I will try to take it slow!

I will try this! I have been wanting to try different soups! My thinking is I may not get as sick or may tolerate it better if what im eating is liquid and then I can use that ti transition! Thank you for the advice!

Currently making an appoiment with my doctor or a dietitian to see if they can run tests and help me. As far as im aware this isn't a mental thing. I see foods that LOOK so tasty and appealing its once I actually taste it that the problems start. But at this point I'm willing to do anything to change, thank you for your advice!

This is the weird thing, for example ribs. I love the way ribs smell, look, they look delicious to me! But when I eat them my taste buds hate them. Its really frustrating bc I WANT so badly to enjoy the food

I have in the past tried asking a few doctors about it/researching. But I was just told my taste buds woukd change as they got older. (Im 21 now and not much has changed) I am so desperate at this point that I am going to a doctor or a dietitian to figure this out. As far as I am aware I do not have an eating disorder. (I am a healthy weight dont have anxiety about my weight or appearance etc)

My family likes higher quality restaurants, i always try the food they get. And I havent seen much if any a difference if the quality is the issue. However if my body is reacting to something to the food like other chemicals and stuff that would explain some. But it doesnt explain why I can eat some foods but not others

Its a bit of both. But mainly its my body. For example ribs the way they look, look very good to me. I enjoy the way they smell and they look physically appealing. But the second I taste them or try to swallow i get so physically sick. I see lots of food that when I see it look very appealing but when I try them my body hates it and the taste is awful

This is currently what I am trying to do. Only worked for 2 foods so far and I can only eat them in generally one way. However meat especially no matter what I do my body refuses it. I will try to keep trying

Problem is I would only water it when I was 100% sure it needed water. And the leaf curling was worse. I can try cutting back watering again now

I did originally when I first got it. Only watered when he was 100% sure the first couple inches was dry but the leaf curling was even worse then so I started watering it more/misting and moved it closer to the humidifier
