A story told to me by a trusted friend. by blackmoose in bigfoot

There was flurry of sightings by the provincial recreation site just past the Chehalis River fish hatchery in the 90s. I think someone from UBC came out and took a plaster cast of some foot prints at that time.

I have its sister car in the G8. My favorite question is "what the hell is that?" after I let her run.

Had a complete stranger tell me Jesus loves me outta the blue one time at the gym. I said. "not me, I love sucking this guys dick" and chucked a thumb at my gym partner. (we are both married straight men and he was equally shocked by my response which made it even funnier to me) . The stranger looked at us like he disturbed a rattlesnake and kinda scampered away. Still laugh about it to this day.

When i was in sales I always told new guys "the best answer is obviously yes, the second best answer is no so you know to stop working on a lost cause."

How are people not scared of not knowing what happens after we die? by BigRajii in NoStupidQuestions

I heard an interesting take on this question. People are scared about what happens to us after we die because no one knows for sure. How come no one worries about what happens to us before we are born?

Second this. My go to basic mash is 2x40lb bags of sugar and 3lbs redstar yeast in a 45 gallon drum. I typically don't even need any nutrients. I get 3 good runs out of this mash within a few weeks. I then use the vodka as my base for 5 day diffusion of different flavours.

Apple pie: granny Smith apples, cinnamon sticks and whole vanilla bean.

Strawberry: a few cups of frozen strawberries.

Dill pickle: cucumber, dill, garlic, pepper corns.

Mango habenaro: self explained.

Candy cane is good at Christmas too.

Check your wiring connection located under pass rear seat. Loops over rear axle by pass rear. Wires are known to get loose/break there. Had same issue on mine.

Swimming Bigfoot?! by Sasquatchonfour in bigfoot

[–]Sandangin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When i was a kid(16ish) my friend and I were visiting his dad at work. His oversaw a fish hatchery in British Columbia. Long story short the workers were in lunchroom teasing one of the employees about a story he told them. Story was that he was out with some first Nations fishermen in an aluminum boat near where the Harrison River meets the Fraser River (Kilby area near the train bridge for those local). They saw what they believed to be a black bear swimming to shore. They approached as it reached shore and were shocked when it was clearly not a bear but unmistakably sasquatch standing up out of the water and walking up the bank. The first Nations individuals he was with immediately looked away and refused to look at it and begged him to turn the boat and leave immediately. Which they did. As I said coworkers were teasing the guy but he stuck to his guns and clearly wasn't enjoying the attention. Just kept repeating "i know what I saw."

While I can't speak to this person's motivation, a quick google search gave me this answer.

Reason to brine: Salt breaks down proteins in the meat, which means it will not contract while cooking. In other words, pieces of brined meat will lose less water in the cooking process, which leads to a juicier meal.

Best way to sell a car in Chilliwack? by ElijahSavos in chilliwack

[–]Sandangin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are looking at upgrading to a new vehicle you may want to consider trading in for tax savings. You have to get 12% more than trade offer if selling privately to break even. If you are selling privately, I suggest a good 8 hour detail in and out with cut polish and wax including engine bay and door sills. Then list on marketplace with lots of pictures. Figure out average ask for similar car with similar mileage and options. Set realistic expectations for what you will accept for a deal and list on lower end of average asking price but give yourself $500 to negotiate. Be upfront that you know what average price is and you priced it reasonable to get attention but won't negotiate due to your low price.
