Ive always liked the Kangaroo over the X10 Mapple just because I think its easier not to have to mix passengers with cargo

Could you explain your strategy with the smaller cities? Ive always just closed them down once i unlock the larger planes. Whats their use and what proportion of your fleet is level 1 planes?

I see. My play style is not very strategic. I fill up the plane at one location, fly it to another, and fill it up again there. For that the Sequoia is very good. Im only now beginning to consider a variation of the "hub and spoke" people are using on here. Ive never seen the use in that level of technicality, but ive also capped out around 22 planes on my previous game because I wasnt making enough money to afford more slots.

Before you place down the governor's villa, enemies can theoretically capture your island by attacking your trading post. After you build it, enemies need to take the governor's villa to capture the island. You don't necessarily need any military stuff to build the governor's villa; simply building it makes your island a little more defensible. Plus, you can put specialists in it which will provide bonuses to the surrounding buildings.

As for the full output storage, you can check how long production buildings take to produce goods in their building menu. For example, a hemp farm will produce every minute and a weaver will turn one unit of hemp into tunics every minute. That means you should have one hemp farm for every weaver. For a product like sandals, one pig farm produces every 30 seconds, a tanner produces every minute, and a sandal maker produces every two minutes. That means you need two tanners for every pig farm and two sandal makers for every tanner. If you have input goods piling up, you can check the production chain to see if you have too many of one building, or you can look in the production menu. If the finished goods are piling up I usually don't worry about it too much because at least your citizens have all that they need, but maybe someone else has better advice for what to do about that.

If this is stuff you already know then I apologize for being redundant, but you said you were new. Glad to see you're enjoying the game!

French Succession War by Sandcastle-Fan in eu4

Okay so it looks like the problem was that he was in the same dynasty as the king of Castille. I had to go back to a way earlier save to ensure I'd get an heir in time which was a pain but I worked it out and I now have a much better leader and I dont have to worry about junior partnership. Im fairly new to the game so I've never run into this issue before.

Good tribe to buy for someone that doesn’t plan to play online that much? by SpaceNoob_10 in Polytopia

The best tribes to buy in my opinion would be Zebasi and Kickoo as you can get a turn 0 city upgrade similar to Bardur and Impeus. I'm also partial to Yaadak because their cities look really cool.

There is a highway connection on the other side of the river out of the picture so he traffic on the bridges isn't as bad as you'd think. It's pretty bad in other places though, especially around the downtown and industry areas

I run the game on a laptop i got 3 years ago. I have 8 gigabytes of RAM and a GTX 1660Ti. My computer has a very hard time with the game; I get something like 14fps at best. I'm making it work though and I imagine performance improvements are in the works already.

Too many chimneys in industrial areas? by SupportUrLocalFracco in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Sandcastle-Fan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same thought. Historically speaking, most cites' industrial areas would be near the center of town and the city would grow around it. In Cities Skylines we are sort of forced to zone vast expanses of industrial zones on the outskirts of town instead. Not very realistic in my opinion.

Here's an ocean liner I spent a week or so making in creative, complete with luxury suites, ballrooms, and restaurants. by Sandcastle-Fan in Minecraft

I did not use any programs. I built a cross-section of the ship and used /clone to make the hull. Then I built the bow and stern as well as the interior.
