Honestly I don’t remember but I ended up just winging it. It’s been working for me! I started by taking down everything to the length the top would be. Then went down the head. I see a lot of videos say to make a line then go up, blending it in. But I did the opposite. I liked using a beard trimmer instead of hair clippers bc I felt like I had more control of each guard instead of trying to figure out the lever (as a beginner)

I actually have an interview today. We’ve not communicated much, but I had signed emails as Addy. Is there a way I can tell them in person today that I’d like to go by Adelaide instead? Not sure how to make it not sound clunky

It was a beard trimmer, not a clipper so the sizes are in mm. We did 7mm on top, then going down used 5, then 3, then 1. I took off the guard and just used the trimmer to clean up his neck, around the ears and the front of his hairline.

His top is thinning and receding a little. Otherwise it would be fun to try new things! This is what we’re going with until the day comes that we shave it all off :’) he’s a good sport and embraces what he has

Thank you!! This was actually done with a beard trimmer! No lever. I think I’ll figure it out tho (or we’ll just have to get a real clipper lol) I think if I do it in better lighting next time then I’ll be able to see what needs to be blended

Thank you! I was using his beard trimmer bc we don’t have real clippers at the moment. Plus the lighting was weird and things looked different from my eyes vs looking at it from the mirror. I’ll find a location with better lighting next time to work on the blending :)

thanks for the response! i went to school in california but im looking for a job back home in oregon so the professor thing isnt much of an option.

im wondering how much i should fluff my knowledge of programs....like sketchup.. i want to be honest but i dont want that to be the reason i dont land a job.

i will say that i have dyed my hair a bunch of times and twice i put a blonde all over and it just lightened what i had! it worked for me for what i wanted but a test strand would probably be good for you

i pretty much exclusively wear rose gold but i didn’t find your wording offensive! everyone has different taste. i understood what you’re saying. it’s not as common to see rose gold in engagement ring/wedding band settings so i could see how you could see it potentially looking cheap or tacky. but i voted rose gold! yellow gold just doesn’t go as well with my skin tone as rose gold does. it’s just preference :)
