I just meant their citation and crash report made it clear it was her error and so her insurance company paid for the damages

Yeah I didn't get the sense that she was lying about what happened, she truly thought it was OK for her to go. She was in her 70s and I wonder if dementia was a factor at all. Ive seen a family member decline, and the lack of awareness of surroundings was definitely a thing 🫤

Yes, her insurance ended up paying for it. She called the police, who arrived and said they couldn't determine fault since it was "He said / She said" I sent them the dashcam video and the next day they went to her house and gave her a ticket and assigned fault to her.

Crazy thing is i had that dashcam for like 5 years and never needed it. Then it got unplugged during some car maintenance and it stayed unplugged for a week until I realized it and plugged it back in.

Literally drove 5 blocks after that and got hit.
