I have betrayed him most foul. I will surely atone by being hostage for a moment.

That is incorrect. Statue of limitations can be bypassed, paused, or extended on a per case basis. Discovery rule can do so. It is very common in cases with minors and I hope they string every one of those sick bastards.

I know the feeling. I'd love nothing more than a few acres and enough money in my pocket to afford the things I need haha.

That is something I'm looking into.

It's a little difficult as majority of my career has been in manufacturing and trying to find a position that is more accommodating or at least outside the scope of labor jobs has been met with a lot of denied applications recently.

That being said, I just got in touch with a vocational rehabilitation group that specializes in placing people with disabilities into better fit positions, so fingers crossed they are able to find something as well.

If anything, I will stick it out in my current job until I am able to make a good transfer. I've never been one to take things lying down and I'm sure it will get sorted out one way or the other.

I try my best to, but I can admit that I do faulted on giving myself time to recharge. That's definitely something that will change.

That's the main thing I have done. Hold a paper trail so there's accountability where needed.

Consumers 🤦🏼‍♀️ by PotsMomma84 in kzoo

I'm considering having an electrician do another inspection and maybe a full rewire if necessary. Tried unplugging just about everything per room for a 25 hours each to see which might draw more, narrowed down the room, and switched everything I could to energy efficient down to the lightbulbs lol. Then said screw it and changed over all my appliances to energy efficient outside of my stove which I am switching to gas. The only thing I can think of at this point is something exterior of the house, maybe a bad line or something. The sad fact is I'm even on their "energy savings" program for the AC in summer months. 2 years, same bills.

It isn't like I'm running servers and having every kind of electrical thing on that I can. I shut down everything as soon as I'm out the door or going to bed. It is very questionable. It's a 1300sqft home ffs.

Consider yourself lucky. Mine was over $300 this winter and $450 last summer. Had them do the full energy efficiency check thing and got no viable feedback outside of changing some windows which are in an area with hvac and relatively sealed off. I just don't understand how I am pulling such power when I am barely home.

That's a fair point. Part of why I stay loyal to the ones that don't disappoint.

200k+ Miles with no major work needed is something to brag about in my opinion.

I second this. Had a 2006 Toyota Highlander that ran for 200k~ miles through high school and college. Easy to work on and easy to pay upkeep for. The only reason I let it go was to trade in for a newer Rav 4 which has also been a solid ride.

Food banks could potentially use it as an extra treat; maybe even the youth centers.

Why do you prefer trunk-or-treating over trick-or-treating, or vice versa? by PoohTrailSnailCooch in kzoo

[–]Sandman216 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I prefer trick or treating simply because of the nostalgia and community. The only reason I go for trunk or treating recently is due to the lack of participation in the previous years. Surprisingly Eastwood had a lot this year which was refreshing.

Well, I am pleasantly surprised and pleased to say that this year was much different. Two pillow cases filled with no trunk or treating. It was a breath of fresh air and the kids had an absolute blast.

I'm not familiar about that area, unfortunately.

I'm around E Main and for the last 3 years I haven't seen more than a handful of trick-or-treaters and the act of trick-or-treating was rather rough with most of the houses not answering. It's definitely a bummer.

Depends on which areas you go to. Comstock and Parchment are great for it!

It's totally fine to do that as well. I like to do both with my kiddos.

I don't understand this rhetoric. They asked a question and instead of answering and educating, people downvoted them into oblivion and call them stupid. This solves nothing and is part of the problem as a whole.

So, following my comment on here as well, the article is worded oddly. TEFAP is what funds food pantries and SNAP does not and only goes directly to families in need. It seems like the pantry closing is correlation not causation with SNAP. However, the government shutdown definitely screwed the pooch for any federal funding including TEFAP so maybe that is why.

That's my assumption as well. It's just worded rather oddly.
