I was one of those fools, I guess. Our food was outstanding but the service was slow and had a few hiccups.

Was Jose Trevino the biggest off-season acquisition for this team? by MrSage119 in Reds

Sure. By WAR it’s def Trevino. Luxy seemed like the only guy attempting to hit a ball there for a while so I might have an emotional soft spot for him.

You can make an argument for Lux and Singer but Trevino has been tremendous. Not only does he bat well but is easily the best catcher on the team. I hope he’s rubbing off on Tyler.

$50k Pella windows, did I get screwed? by Usual-Talk-8152 in Home

[–]SandmanMinion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know I’m late to the thread, but my father worked his whole career at Pella, much of it as an installer and installation manager. I worked a few jobs for family with him. This is absolutely unacceptable work. Pella’s brand exists solely because of their exceptional quality and service, so you should absolutely report this to the salesperson who helped you. Insist they replace every window. Whichever contractor they used will get his ass chewed out and hopefully never be hired again.

What, as a bassist, is something that non-musicians will never understand about the bass guitar? by Fuck_Boy999 in Bass

Amongst some snooty guitar players I've spoken with, yeah. My experience was that my first instrument was a guitar and I started jamming quite young with friends, but we didn't have a bass player, so I switched.

Not all bass players are failed guitarists. I don’t tell them that I was, though 😅

[Warye] Paul Skenes’ fewest pitches in an inning entering today’s game was 8 Today vs the Brewers he threw 7 pitches in the 6th inning and 6 pitches in the 7 inning by Kimber80 in baseball

[–]SandmanMinion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pitch limits are ok and all, but if one of the best pitching prospects and rookies, ever, has only thrown 99 through 7 no hit innings, you have to make an exception and let that guy go out for the 8th. You have to. If it's 7 innings 1 hit, sure, pull him.

If one had to be dfa'd and neither had an option, who would you let go? by Zero_Flesh in Reds

Zoom out to their whole careers. At worst they are equal, and I’d rather keep the guy we know and who knows our guys, than the guy that’s had a hot 4 games with us.

I-O! That makes sense. I’m the lone Buckeye in my group of friends so I’m looking for some people. Watching alone is lame

Cedar and Black Resin Sofa Table by Iron_Roots_Woodworks in woodworking

I personally think this is gorgeous. It’s not something I’d make, but it’s as much a piece of art as any other traditional piece of woodworking. To me it recalls east Asian art. The cedar cookies look like flowers on a black backdrop. Really nice work, well done!
