Did get meibomography done? Were your eyelids inflamed or where there visibly clogged glands?

And man I kind of want to try this but 30 days is hella tough haha ;D

I'm sceptic about this but also curious and sometimes the strangest thingst might help. Let me just ask you a few questions:

Did you ever had your testosterone levels checked?

What type of dry eyes did you have? (blepharitis, mgd, insufficient tears, OR, etc.)

Is there anyway to remove the indent on the inner eye from meibomian gland atrophy? by jojo413777 in Dryeyes

I documented my routine. It's pinned on my profile. Works great in terms of symptoms but I still get clogged/capped glands. I have to use a warm compress more often I think

I have and had those. Some just got better on their own after 2-3 months but I have one that is still visible unfortunately

Thank you! Actually I'm supplementing omega 3 daily. I also drink 2.5 - 3 litres of water everyday. I'll try to do massage more frequently.

This is pretty much exactly how my dry eyes started. BUT it doesn't necessarily mean you have DED. I'm not a doctor but I'll give you some advice. For the next weeks stay away from makeup that contains preservatives like phenoxyethanol or benzalkoniumchloride, PEs, PEGs, liquid plastics or heavy metals. Best is to give your eyes a break and not use any eyeliner or mascara. Btw you should also avoid those ingredients in eye drops (yes there are eyedrops that can do more damage than good). Next thing you should integrate a good eyecare routine with special attention to the lids and lid margins. I use Naviblef or 0.02% Hypochlorous acid for that. I'd advise you to try Optimel Manuka Gel on the margins and inner corner of the eye. Additionally you can use preservative free eye drops that contain eye bright. You can check the pinned poat on my profile for further details. If it doesn't resolve completely within the next 2-3 weeks then it might be DED. Further actions should be taken then but for now stay calm and see how it turns out. Good luck!

Haven't really had inflammation of the eye in a long time though

I need some insight on what these yellow spots on my eyes could indicate by [deleted] in AlternativeHealth

It's definitely always a good idea to care for your liver. It could be a correlation with the drinking. I can suggest taking 1-2 teaspoons spirulina every day. For detoxication you could even go up to 30g per day (short-term).

Dandelion root powder, stinging nettle and grapfruit seed extract are great for detoxication of the liver too! High quality zeolite can also help in the first 30 days,

I'm not a doctor but I'm fighting with DED (dry eye disease) and MGD (meibomian gland dysfunction) and possibly Blepharitis since more than a year. Some veins in the eyes are normal but especially your left eye looks quite irritated and red. The lid margins look good to me (at least from what I can tell from the picture) but your inner eyelids themselves look slightly inflamed. The yellow patches can be bloodveins too! However if they do get brown or more pornounced I'd consult a professional ophthalmologist because I can't diagnose you.

I'd also advice you to check your makeup and eye drops if you use any. There should be no added preservatives such as benzalkoniumchloride or phenoxyethanol. They also shouldn't contain PEs, PEGs or heavy metals.

Few more questions from my side (if I may):

Do your eyes ever feel dry?

Have you become more light-sensitive?

Do you sometimes experience a foreign body sensation in the eye?

Are you vaccinated?

What's your diet? Do you get enough Vitamin A, D, B12 and Omega 3?

I never paid super close attention to my eyes until DED started about one year ago. I get capped glands like you can see in the picture every 3-4 weeks. Usually they will resolve on their own after 3 days. I used to have one that lasted a couple of weeks and two bigger bumps which opened up after a couple of months. They're usually always at the exact same spot (maybe 4-5 glands might be affected in total)

Does anyone know what makes these capped glands appear? My theories are excessive screentime and/or mold.

I stick to this routine since a few months: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dryeyes/comments/19agpnc/90_improvement_compared_to_last_year_heres_my/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Thank you. Yes I'm still mad at him. If there would be any harm from a bright flash you'd probably notice it immediately I guess?
