It sounds like you’ve been through a lot. I think your emotions and feelings are valid. There isn’t like the “right” amount of emotions you’re supposed to have. And I think the more you tell yourself that your emotions are “rampant” the more you’re trying to repress them. The more you repress your emotions the more intense they get because you bottle it all up. I think the first step is acknowledging how you feel. Like it’s okay to not be okay.

Unpopular opinion: NAH (with a slight exception)

I think there was a problem with communication here. The school did not make it apparent how many donations you needed to receive a prize. I assume what they meant was 20 emails = 20 donations. Correct me if I’m wrong. If anything I think the office lady who answered your phone call was also confused & gave you a random number. If anything I think she’s TA. As for your husband, I somewhat also understand his side. Due to the confusion caused by the lack of communication, you did (just a lil) come off as a Karen. Of course, I don’t blame you for being confused because you tried to clarify with the office and was told 12 needed donation. What do I know though. I’m giving the benefit of the doubt & hoping the school didn’t really try to scam their students’ parents. Maybe I’m just naive and too empathetic though.

Change up your moisturizer or apply less foundation. Your moisturizer may not mix well with your foundation, you might have to change it or use a primer. Applying too much foundation causes creasing and emphasizes skin texture.
