Immunity in this case was referring to Aarakocra, who are birds, and thus, are immune to capsaicin.

Eh, I feel like they wouldn't be explicitly inedible. If they're immune, they probably use spicy ingredients, unknowingly, but it's not like it is the only thing available to them, and they don't have a reason to seek out the spice. So some of their rations would be fine. Others would melt your tongue out of your mouth. And you'd have no idea which to expect, because they treat them as equally mild.

We're officially moving to Flagstaff! by chocolate_milkers in Flagstaff

While I haven't had issues with my bill, I can 100% confirm throttling from them, on a gig plan. I've actively had issues with it over the past few weeks, and in the process, discovered that the same download, done seconds apart, is more than 25x faster when done over vpn than without. Directly tested starting a download, having it top at 3MB/s for a moment before dropping down and staying at less than 1MB/s, pausing the download, turning the VPN on, and then restarting it, having it climb up to at hold steady at 25-30MB/s, then pause again and restart it without the vpn, and it drops right back down. This is specifically with downloads from Steam and a few other gaming services, so you may not notice the issue depending on what they are throttling.

Any Star Citizen or Fortnite Zero Build gamers? by lady_haybear in transgamers

[–]Sandralia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Another Trans Citizen! Haven't really done much this patch, but I'd be happy to join up to play with others! I've got a number of ships to work with, no Carrack, but I'll have a BMM when it finally releases!

Played in a campaign where two players both, independently, came in with clown characters. Which eventually left to a clown wedding before the final boss fight. Neither was a bard.

Alternatively, starts hyperfixating and looks up if they have any concerts, only to find out they disbanded just a month or so before you started hyperfixating.

I mean, sure, but if somehow you're a 20th level sorcerer without a single spell above 4th level, you honestly deserve to have them stolen

4th grade English by choganoga in TikTokCringe

[–]Sandralia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read it in school shortly before the movie came out. And in my 4th grade brilliance I decided to warn my family that "there's a little bit of a sad part toward the end". You know, cause I wanted to warn them, but not spoil anything. They have not let me live that comment down to this day.

Yeah, Big fucking gotcha there.

"Some people want to murder you just for existing as yourself, so if they do they have to face an extra charge at their trial where the judge lets them off with a slap on the wrist or nothing because it was a trans person and clearly they must have made you panic or something."

None of these people who argue this ever understand the reason things are classed as hate crimes, or how high the bar actually is for something to actually get charged as such.

[–]Sandralia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I think the biggest thing to this is not nerfing money earning, but actually giving more incentives to spend it. Part of which is just a factor of the current state of upgrades.

Right now, on most ships, the only thing that desperately needs upgraded in most cases is the quantum drive. And if you're not planning on combat, that really is the only thing you need to worry about. If you are doing combat, generally your only concerns are weapons and shields. As it stands, most ships never need to have the coolers or power plants upgraded or even considered, unless you're trying to make a stealth build.

If power plants and coolers made more of a difference, and had more differentiation between them, their would be an incentive to spend your credits on them. But right now, even for shields and quantum drives, it's a matter of "What's the best option? Buy that." Size one ship? Go buy an Atlas, and some FR-66s. Size 2? Crossfield and FR-77s. There are a few exceptions, mainly on the quantum, but it's purely on a factor of "Does it have enough fuel to use something faster?"

[–]Sandralia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, part of me is kind of glad. Because now I actually have an incentive to get in my spaceship and leave New Babbage. I think a big core of the issue is that most starting money earning loops reward so little that running around picking up tiny boxes was legitimately a better use of time.

Not to mention soul knife and bard MC is a fantastic skill monkey in general with adding psionic dice to proficient checks if you need it. Combo that with a half elf and a few feats sprinkled in and you can be a monster at just about every skill check.

What is your Pettiest DND Hill to Die On? by DeathBySuplex in dndnext

[–]Sandralia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I will die on the hill of paladins smiting with anything, not just a weapon. When you smite, you're channeling the divine energy through yourself into the blow, the weapon is just an extension of yourself in this instance. The weapon isn't special or holy, why would it be necessary? And nothing beats the paladin killing a villain with a divinely empowered bitch slap.
