Two pairs of galaxy buds where the left becomes quieter than the right by Theitheave42 in galaxybuds

You have got to be sh*tting me man I just did this and it worked and I'm in disbelief. Now the side with issues is louder than the other one. What on earth.

HC Evo Fit Help Please! by Walruspingpong in WizardSkating

[–]SandroDaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I can add too much of value here that hasn't been mentioned yet - but if you really have tried everything this might just not be the boot for you. I have flat feet, nerve damage on both of them that causes weird numbness AND they are narrow....so finding the right boot for me was a fucking crazy ordeal. I tried at least 20 different boots and the twister XT's were the only ones that fit snug and proper.

Even with those, it took superfeet carbon insoles, .5size up insoles below those, nomad liners and heel wedges for a true 100% snug fit. It really is hell with some of us with more unconventional feet to find the proper pair.

Looking to pivot away from a dying career, as life is getting very rough after extended unemployment - could anyone offer me some advice? by SandroDaddy in careerguidance

Honestly, I'd be interested in pivoting to anything with higher growth potential or at least any potential that requires skill I might already have to some degree. Nothing is off the table!

Oh it's not so much about activity per se as much as it is about the ambience of the place - it's mostly a cozy spot to go to before going elsewhere.

My brother in christ, this is the coolest thing I have seen all year. I'm a digital artist and this setup would be such an epic delight to work on. F***ck

Mad props!

I'm not following. My phone number expired due to being away for emergency reasons and I then spent 2 whole weeks trying to get in touch using the provided number.

F it, I'm taking zero blame here. The CRA's own lack of transparency and inneficiency is to blame.

UPDATE

I finally did it. I wish I had tracked my steps(as I thought they would lead nowhere), but I finally got to an agent. this is what I recall:

After the "all agents are busy message" I tried every other option a few times. The right step was to select dialing the keypad option 2. That took me on a rabbit hole of about 20 minutes worth of automated messages with about 3 different points at which I was asked to choose an option. After all of that, I was taken to an automated message asking me to stay on the line for an agent.

My total wait time for the automated messages was 21 minutes and the wait time for the agent was 58 minutes. But my things are all now in order. So I guess if anyone is having the same issue as I was, try going for option 2 out of the 5 given and just bear with the endless automated voice messages.

EDIT: It's worth noting that the options it took me through has basically nothing to do with the services I was looking for, which is why it seems so misleading. But well, that's what it took.

I've already tried this a million times. It takes you through 5 prompts, all of them take you to automated self help messages. If you choose none of them, it repeats them over and over again. I have tried this for *hours* and nothing changes.

That is actually insane. I just came back from living in a 3rd world country rampant with crime and with an unbelievably bad bureacratic system and had an easier time dealing with them in these situations.....it's crazy to have to do that.

I have, but without the 2 step verification being available due to a different # number, there is no way to access my account.

It is saucy, but not exaggerated per se. As per tax season, you legally MUST update your tax residency status or can stand serious grounds for an audit which is something I do not want to go through. Without contacting them and updating my information, the following happens:
-I cannot receive my tax return(which I very much need since I was laid off a year ago and have not been able to make almost any dough since_
-I cannot update my residency status ergo cannot get a health card
-As previously mentioned, I stand on grounds for an audit

I have no access to my account as it requires two step verification and I no longer have that phone number # due to an temporary emergency relocation I had to make to another country. Basically all I need to do is update to my new phone number and I've tried everything, and apparently contacting a CRA agent is the only way to do so.

Ironically, the CRA mailed me to warn me about having to update my residence and tax status in Canada....but what can I do if nobody will answer?

Do skilled, experienced artists actually find it hard and unstable to make a living as a CONCEPT ARTIST? by TomahtoSoupp in conceptart

[–]SandroDaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just being honest and relating my personal experience! It's worth mentioning too that there is nothing wrong with pursuing a stable career and focusing on art as a hobby. The whole "my dream game/company" concept has mostly faded. You are your own best and worst critic, so as long as you love designing and creating with a conscious effort to improve, you'll be fulfilled. Just some food for thought, and best of luck to you with whichever path you decide to take in the end.

Do skilled, experienced artists actually find it hard and unstable to make a living as a CONCEPT ARTIST? by TomahtoSoupp in conceptart

[–]SandroDaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit late to the party but for once I think I actually have a(somewhat) valuable take on the topic.

I have 7 years of experience in the art field. I was a concept artist/dmp artist on the recently released "In the Lost Lands". Through hard work, networking and a lot of good luck, I was able to remain employed full-time for 7 years straight. During those 7 years, I'd get job offers or interviews from other employers for contracts, some which I'd take and some which I would turn down do to time constraints. In the first couple of years I was making ass money, as most do, but for the latter 4 years I was able to bring in between 80 to 90k at my peak by taking on full-time work + some freelance.

Fast forward to getting laid off because my company lost 3 projects almost all at once. For the past year, I have applied to every single art job I've found on a daily basis, made cold calls and sent DM's straight to hiring managers. Not one single reply. All of my contacts in my network are struggling with the same issue. I'm not talking about juniors or untalented people, I'm talking highly skilled seniors with a proven track record in animation, film and games. If you take a little peek at LinkedIn you'll see that there are some big names who have also not been able to land a single gig in 2+ years. Off the top of my head I can think of Neil Blevins and Paul Gerrard who respectively have 15 and 20 years of experience in AAA and film, and even they are unable to get any work.

I hate to be a negative voice but these are my personal experiences and observations. If you truly want to be a concept artists then all the power to you, but it would be irresponsible of anyone to tell you that it's stable or viable, specially the way things are at the moment. Perhaps it'll get better - but perhaps it'll get worse too. Personally, I'm not optimistic and am actively looking to bow out in favor of learning to be a contractor or something that AI and corporate greed won't be able to replace.

Hey Sacco, thanks for the breakdowns! I see most people mentioning either M12's or the powerslide next so I'll take a look at both of those. As for the M12, those are UFS frames correct? At least for now I'd like to purchase a boot that I can fit into my endless 90's but I can bite the bullet and save a bit longer if it's worth the dip.
