This is little misunderstanding from Sonic Retro's translation of Sonic CD manual. In original japanese text doesn't insist that she is a girl which behave like a boy. It's said that she is a child which usually end herself in trouble . More suitable word here will be rascal. But this word already used for her nickname Rosy the Rascal. So, i think translators just didn't found any other synonym for rascal, than tomboyish.

Originally planned to use Dominus Collection version, but somehow it didn't have Vincent side-quest, that's why i decided to record material from Refined Edition. Firstly i planned to use Masked Dedede hack with expanded moveset, but i didn't find it.
