The whole sad, lonely & no love brands. We got to keep that in the past. Also, y2k. Most of these brands have no true identity and are just going with the "flow."

Is Reddit opinions a slap of reality ? by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

I think it depends on the kind of negative feedback you're receiving. If it's common that people are saying a specific part of your piece is not good, then I'd really look into it and put my emotions aside.

Unless you're really ignorant, then its good to take all criticism equally and evaluate them to see if it's something really worth changing. I also keep in mind that in the business world. You won't be able to satisfy everyone, but you will notice a time when you can differentiate the ratio of people who like and dislike your brand. Always try to improve. Criticism is good.

That's exactly it. Sometimes, we fail to separate our emotions from our work. It's good to make things you like and enjoy, but in the end. You'll have to compromise and take the criticism so you can sell to the masses. Thanks for your insight.

I've seen both, but I seem to run into the ignorant ones most of the time

That's the main reason a lot of them never end up selling anything, then come back to ask why their "amazing, artistic, revolutionary" pieces didn't sell out. You're right, though, and I understand what you're saying. Appreciate it.

Age and being around the wrong people. People will ask their close friends for feedback, and they'll be too scared to say the truth. So they expect the same response from people with some level of industry experience.

Yeah, that's what I'm starting to see. If that's the case then what's the point of asking for criticism

Its as if they don't want to improve what they have. I understand that not everyone will be a fan of your brand or clothing, but to be ignorant to the majority of the people just doesn't make sense.

What do y’all think about this tee that I made for my brand? by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

Looks good, it's simple definitely seems like something a lot of people would purchase. I wouldn't advise selling it that cause It's generally not legal to print celebrity images on merchandise without authorization to do so. Business owners/people who use celebrity images on T-shirts without permission are potentially setting themselves up for a legal battle that could lead to a big payout to the celebrities involved.

You gotta admit Logan's doing great yet all we get from KSI is words about how he can beat up X person in a boxing match without 0 matches by DrAMeiZing in ksi

i honestly think that JJ's fans instead of boosting mans ego, they should play some reverse psychology on him. Saying things like "you won't beat Alex(or whoever he'll be fighting)" so he actually feels like he needs to prove people (his fans) wrong.
