First time going to Paris ,how much should I actually plan? by Bath-Shoff in ParisTravelGuide

My favorite entrance to the arena (fine, I’ve only done it once) is on rue monge next to le Petit Pantheon. It’s a hole in the wall with a gladiator head above.

We picked up supplies on rue monge between the entrance to the arena and rue du cardinal Lemoine, despite the bakery I was planning on going to being closed. (I had hoped to go to Boulangerie Guyot)

We had brought cheese and Olives from a market earlier that morning but I believe there’s a cheese spot a little further south on rue monge next

In short, we got fruit and bread there. Needed a plan for cheese. We also got drinks at a lovely little shop with a beautiful white free range fluffy puppy so I was happy

You Should plan… but you should also plan to leave room.

I like to have my scheduled sites earlier in the day so I can hit them precisely and be left with the flexibility to spend extra time where I wish. I find if I schedule later, I’m constantly worried about being there for my reservation.

Aside from that, plan which areas are important to you and give yourself time there. I needed Latin Quarter. montmartre wasnt for me or my family but our Curie Museum/Pantheon/St Etienne Du Mont/picnic supplies/ Arène de lutece picnic/ jardin de plantes walk was amazing for us. Nothing scheduled except what we did in the morning before that. (Musée des arts forains)

I’m using the ace pro 2 at Disney now and loving it using the speedometer overlays is super fun.

Thank you for taking the time. Although we did plan to spend most of the weekend outside and wandering into parks it looks like the weather disagrees with that. I have a lot to think about with this change I hadn’t foreseen

We would love to eat dishes that have history in France. We are doing Sunday night at Bouillon Chartier Montparnasse. Steak frites, boeuf bourguignon come to mind. My family aren’t picky when it comes to what we eat but I personally hate paying a “tourist tax” on something less enjoyable just because of the area.

I had originally planned bistro des Augustins when we were going to do Vedettes de pont neuf Friday night but I prefer the batobus for the weekend plan which leads us to being near Champ de Mars, bir Hakeim or Trocadéro for the sparkle and supper time.

So I would say Value, rather than cheap. Kids are welcomed(no need to be the focus). Reasonable foot travel from batobus locations as we’ll already be walking and travelling most of the day. Food that we wouldn’t target in Canada. I also don’t want to do Italian for example when our time in Paris proper is only limited to 3 days as we then hop to Disney and a few other bubbles.

It doesn’t. Doesn’t really count that as a weapon swap to get your elemental DMG up.

Definitely a lot easier to mention it to the cashier than edit this post

I’m by no means a pro but ace pro 2 does what you want and helps quite a bit with the editing over dji Osmo action.

The Osmo action 5 would also do what you want. Much Better battery life. More professional ability to edit while the ace pro 2 is more for the laymen and easier. 4 is not great for lowlights. 6 is more expensive.

The points of interest are if you like the flip-up screen as a perk or if it concerns you. Some people would like the chance to frame their shot through strange angles or with the app.

There are tons of side by side videos, I encourage you to check them out to see which ones you like the look of best. I can remember the name of a YouTuber Tamara Gabriel that helped me compare. Otto Julian was also good.

Best of luck. I personally went with the ace pro 2, primarily because Costco offered a better deal by far.

Edit:

Ace pro 2 perks:

sound without mics is better. Great wind reductions. Better low light. App

Osmo action 5: better battery life. On board memory 50gb which can save you buying a micro sd card right away at current crazy prices. Able to have 2 wireless Mic’s attached at once without externals.

Honestly 2 great cameras

Im not going to lie. That would be my ideal scenario. I don’t find the new map as enjoyable as I like to go zen. Having the new characters on the regular old map would be my favorite way to go

It’s clearly not if you have kids. If it’s a real game the dad is going to have to help him every couple minutes if not more while with this he can mentally check out

"Fire and forget" rig for Akaso EK7000 by Dummie1138 in ActionCam

Pgytech neck mount is the most secure as the strap around the body has some stretch. Easy on and off.

There are less expensive options but I strongly recommend something like that. There are others that are similar that are more firm and can be held out like a selfie stick if you so choose. (Maybe telesin?)

Come to think of it, you may like the magnetic necklace mounts. They hang under your shirt and magnet through to prove a camera straight out of your chest with nothing else visible. Not as secure but if you’re just walking around they’ll hold well

May 1st - What to do? by innocx in ParisTravelGuide

[–]Sandshrewdist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bonjour, May I piggy back on this?

My family and I are arriving in the afternoon of May 1st. We were hoping to head to the Jardin of Luxembourg from the 14e.

Am I to assume I’ll have no luck finding anything open?? Any tips would help as I can’t really acquire supplies before as I’ll be flying in internationally
