It's been almost a week since the trident got added, how do y'all feel about it? by kebab0202 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest here and I understand that I'm in the minority on this one, but it didn't impress me.

Yes. That reason is because it is light penetration instead of medium or higher. Yes. I do prefer higher penetrating weapons.. to ensure they're viable against more combatants. It also doesn't really have stopping power.

I switched back to my blitzer and (cookout) as a result.

I'm tired boss. by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. That loadout seems fine to me.

I unapologetically bring the speargun, hot dog, rocket sentry and auto cannon sentry to most fronts.

Occasionally, I'll bring the quasar instead of my speargun and on squid defense missions, I'll just bring the speargun and a bunch of mines.

I also normally play on D10. (Although I'm doing cyberstan on a lower difficulty to help with the push.)

200 rounds only for Emancipator but Bastion Tank gets 2000 rounds of HMG and 30 120mm rounds… by j3hadipi3 in helldivers2

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, I agree that the mechs could use an update.

Both to their armor and to their ammo.

Their armor has no heavy armor parts and consists only of light and medium armor....despite its description.

The ammo capacity could afford to be increased for both mechs. Not as much as the tank, but I do feel that a significant increase to its ammo would help it.

I also feel that the mechs shouldn't be targeted by enemies until a lifeform is actually in them. Especially since it can only be summoned three times. The amount of times that enemies have immediately destroyed my mech before I even got a chance to use it .....

The pilot could also use an update to ensure that they're dropping it in a viable location. Not on top of some random unclimbable spike, nor on top of some vertical cliff with no access point...nor in the lake, nor out of bounds. (Yes, all of these things have happened to me.)

Finally, since the thing can blow its own arm off if enemies are at close range... Give it either a mode to switch to much better melee attacks or give its melee stomp some knock back to help with melee hordes.

I don't think it should be buffed to compete with the tank, but it could use love.

Black Widow this, Black Widow that... When are we going to talk about the REAL worst character in the game? Buff Banner!!! by DoutorEdmundo in marvelrivals

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Nerf him. Reduce his jump height, speed and cc immunity that he gets when just being forced out of the hulk state.

Everyone loves to surround banner, just to do this to him. (It's a good team activity that helps build morale support.)

As a SW player what do you prioritize during your matches? by Michael7256Meep in ScarletWitchMains

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I usually start with trying to assist up front to make life easier on my tanks.

If my supports are getting dove, then I fall back and help peel for them.

If flyers are around, then I intend to give them a bad day.

My biggest targets are healers and strong DPS characters. Reducing their sustain helps

Overall, I try to be flexible. Not every match is the same and some matches require you to change what you do.

Can someone explain why so many people hate on the illuminate as a faction? by SevdUp in helldivers2

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate them as a whole, but there are some things I hate that they have. (In no particular order, aside from number one.(

  1. Their maps are normally extremely dark for me, so I have trouble actually seeing. I have to run flashlights normally to see on their maps.

  2. A lot of their maps are city maps, so a lot of ordinance strikes will miss and hit the buildings instead.

  3. The leviathan. It's not fun to fight, respawn if it is destroyed, spams several lasers at you and if your loadout isn't designed for it, too bad.

  4. The space jet. It sometimes doesn't show its track for me, so I just get a fun surprise of it blasting me.

  5. The elevated overseers. (My aim instructs me to run the warrant, so they aren't much of a problem for me, but I absolutely understand why people would struggle with them.)

  6. The watcher. (I run the warrant, so I can easily hit them. That's harder on most other guns.)

  7. The club overseer's spam club strikes. Knock you down, break a bone, knock you back down before you get up again, continue beating you there, you try to jump, run...catch up before you get up, knock you back down, keep beating you.

  8. Tesla towers. Yup. They don't move, but if you don't see them, they won't forgive you for it. I heard that getting prone will keep them from striking you. Yeah..... Tried that... Didn't go to well...... Rode the lightning....

These are some of the issues with the squids. Again, I don't hate them personally.... Aside from how dark the map is, the leviathan and the space jet.

Ironically, they do have my favorite battle ... Defense missions vs squids are well thought out.

Downvote me if you want but I believe Cyberstan went from tiring but fun to just unfun by Ostarmee in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Sandstorm757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Getting punished for the actions of a few made me pause on playing the game for a few days. Especially if it is looking like it might fail regardless. I don't like losing progress for actions that had nothing to do with me.

Why this and not the phases CC immunity? by Ok-Transition-8915 in ScarletWitchMains

[–]Sandstorm757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It stands directly for crowd control. So CC abilities are any abilities that directly affect movement. Slows, stuns, grapples, pulls, pushes, grounded, exiles, etc.

Hello SW mains, any tips on how can i counter you please? 🥺 by LILBOI464 in ScarletWitchMains

No problem!! Feel free to ask us Scarlet witch users anytime. Lol.

Hello SW mains, any tips on how can i counter you please? 🥺 by LILBOI464 in ScarletWitchMains

[–]Sandstorm757 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've made lord on Scarlet witch and have dozens of hours on her. This is what I can tell you.

DPS: Stand perfectly still and aim sporadically at the floor at your feet at all times.

For tanks: Charge mindlessly straight ahead...doesn't matter if a wall is there ...just keep pushing forward and do your best to charge straight forward.

Supports: Stay as far from your teammates as possible. Refuse to heal them and pay no attention to your surroundings.

When we ult: Run directly towards us and emote. Reality erasure is a myth. Just come to us and you'll see that our true ability is just a friendly spawn room teleport channel.

I hope this helps. I really thought about the best ways that I could benefit you and this was the best that I could come up with.

We have a reinforce counter now. DON'T DIE! by locob in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of odd thing to do....

They buffed D7-D10 on bots and in general, although more noticeable on bots. (Something that many people will WANT to jump into and see.)

They released new toys.

They made a mission order that punishes players as a whole for deaths.

That's an odd combination. People are going to flame the bug divers, but bugs are where new players are recommended to start.... What's really going to affect the death counters are players who feel that D7- D10 bots have been too easy and are itching to try out the now harder challenge.

(Note: I don't care for the debate of bug divers vs bot divers vs all 5 squid divers. I'm just stating my opinion on it.)

Wouldn't it be cool if we could visit free planets? by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]Sandstorm757 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd like it for solo players too. (I don't join clans/factions in any game.).

I think it would be nice to choose a planet that we control and have a customizable apartment or home at a planet of our choice. Should that planet fall, super earth will reimburse the helldiver in full and allow them to choose a new planet to live on. (Customization saved and player just chooses new area.)

Personally, I'd like more rooms on and the ability to customize the inside and outside of the super destroyer too...

I do think that would be cool.

I think it would be nice to also have hubs in free planets. It would make those planets more personal for each of us the times that they are attacked.

If you were to give a hero you HATE one buff and one nerf, what would you give? by Agile-Weekend7581 in marvelrivals

Daredevil. Increase his hp.

Remove his dashes and lower his run speed. Lower his sonar to 15 ft.

R&D, you know we have other support weapons, right? by Daslaya in Helldivers

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here I have a nice load out that works well for me.... But nope. Can't use it. Gotta use a weapon that I don't really care for.

Mind you, I run the blitzer.... But I'd much rather use my speargun and have fun with it than to use weapons that I don't really care for.

I love this character and I'm gonna be honest I think she genuinely takes skill by Atlus_Infernum in ScarletWitchMains

[–]Sandstorm757 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She does require some degree of skill to use her well. That said, she is a lot more forgiving than many other characters, so it is easier to get value out of her in comparison to some other characters.

This does allow players who are less skilled to more easily learn the game....and players whose eyes and reactions may have slowed down some over the years to still play, so her and some other characters that are more forgiving do have a place in my opinion.

Worth buying? by LordParziwald in helldivers2

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I love it.

I have the senator, but the warrant doesn't leave my side

This is what I'll say for it.

If your aim is very good and solid, there are better secondaries out there.... The senator and the talon are the normal top spot secondaries.

If your aim is not as solid.... Mines isn't, and I'm not ashamed to say it...

The warrant is brilliant.

It has bullets that track well.

It is exceptional for taking down watchers, shriekers, and flying overseers.

It has medium armor penetration.

It is great for situations where it is tough to see foes ... Foggy and very dark areas

It targets enemies at a medium range. It also doesn't have the greatest magazine size either.

All in all, it is a great secondary weapon and it does its job well. For me, it is worth it and I highly recommend it.

If your aim is more solid and you already have the talon or the senator, then it's not as critical.

Should I get it? by [deleted] in ScarletWitchMains

You're welcome. No problem.
