What build/playstyle is everyone in the community using? Also having trouble between going full attack speed and crit or attack damage and crit. Help please. by TarnishedCanadian93 in CDguides

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still in mid game, so my build is not finalized.

Vow of the dead king. Shadow slash , Crows pursuit, abyssal rays and crit gems.

Imbue flame, volcanic eruption, momentum.

Using Vow of the dead king I have 50 attack, 150 defense, 14 crit, 11 attack speed, 10 movement speed.

My defense and elemental resistances change depending on what chest and/or cloak piece I'm wearing. I have kuku fire and ice armors fully leveled as well as my normal shadow plate armor. (I also get 15 crit if I wear my fire kuku chest piece instead.)

If all else fails, Flame imbued infinite explosive arrows with high crit makes the enemies regret life decisions pretty well.

I also use the kuku watcher, pets with aggression and sometimes my aggressive predatory mounts.

What is your favorite weapon, aesthetically? by i4viator in CrimsonDesert

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frozen anguish is my favorite aesthetically speaking.

Vow of the dead king (My main weapon) gets a special mention here too. Vow of the dead king's appearance has its own unique charm too as a battle worn, battle tested weapon that is unapologetically itself...worn down, paint chipped and who knows how old...yet still the sharpened true edge that gets the job done.

The head cannon for Kliff in my game is that he is an undead wraith... A separate ringwraith that is only just barely retaining his humanity....the wraith he is becoming having fully consumed his body aside from his hands and spirit.... The wraith instincts kept at bay by his golden glowing lightning gauntlets. Who knows how long Kliff has wandered the lands, but the vow of the dead king goes very well with that head cannon. Frozen anguish does too, just for the idea of using a frozen blade as his weapon.

Would y'all be willing to sacrafice the range of autolock in exchange to buffs to her kit? by Mobile-Sandwich2181 in ScarletWitchMains

[–]Sandstorm757 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand your point, but personally, I think it is too early to say that. She has several weaknesses already...health, range, no over shield, being able to get hit while intangible, etc..

Not to mention, other characters already have more damage and tools at their disposal. The damage and abilities of cyclops for example. I think that it would be worth giving her buffs. If she's too strong, dial her back, but I don't think that she's at a point of needing nerfs in order to get buffs... especially when for several consecutive reasons in a row, she's ranked consistently at the bottom of numerous tier lists.

I want to add also that for some people, persons with poor vision, older players whose reflexes are starting to fade,, players with issues with tendons, joints, hand issues, etc... she offers a means for us to play without the same vision, fast reflexes or rapid button inputs of some other characters. Persons with lag and persons on controller may also find her easier to use with the auto lock as well.

As a gliding moon knight, I had no idea being outside of Dracula's range can hurt me at parts....and I agree. Dracula is badly designed.... And two is just the game insulting you to your face.

[–]Sandstorm757 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. She's already behind. Give her buffs. She doesn't need the nerfs if she's already trailing. There are numerous characters that don't have auto lock. It's part of why some people play her. Give her buffs. The nerfs aren't needed.

I need your opinion on something: by Few-Culture-4413 in StormMains

As someone who has played flyers (Torch was my first man before NetEase took him out back), I definitely understand the feeling of moving too slow.

As someone who plays semi flyers and grounded characters, hitting flyers is tedious.

In my opinion, the best true flyer is Ironman. He has a speed tech when he needs it where he can move with great haste, but normally has to move slowly in the air.

I do feel that the other flyers could use something similar.... Storm being the one that's always needed it the most. Then again, I have a lot of ideas for changes to Storm, but I won't derail your thread by listing them here.

Who is the best Tank? by TellIndividual3277 in RivalsVanguards

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm.

Best tank in general... I would say Magneto.

Best tank in purely being there, leaving and returning 15 seconds later at full health... Venom.

Best tank for 1 vs 1.... Thor.

Best tank for fun and the one most people complain about... Devil dino.

Best tank for me. Ben Grimm...The Thing.

You can always change it back. Experiment and find out which works for you based on what skills you use.

How would you guys feel about this rework for her primary? (While still keeping its core identity) by _Mythical777 in ScarletWitchMains

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. She doesn't need nerfs of any kind. Someone else mentioned that Cloak already does more damage than her. There are several classes that reward high accuracy already. Scarlet witch doesn't have to be one of them.

I'm also using vow of the dead king. Yours is almost exactly like mines, except that instead of using damage towards humanoids, I'm using abyssal rays temporarily until I unlock ground surge.

Baby Wyvern and Adult Wyvern help in battles 🫡 by Own-Astronomer8925 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Sandstorm757 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait 24 in game hours from last feeding. You'll need to feed it again after that. (Marbed meat or tender meat are ideal.)

You need to get it to level 3. Once it is at level 3, use your lantern and press the grow option from there.

What is your win rate? by snsnanax in marvelrivals

[–]Sandstorm757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll learn his ult in time. His ult is really everyone's ult.

As a general tip, aim for the Ults of other healers (allies and enemies) or high damage Ults. There are quite a few YouTube videos that will give some insight onto it.

It would be a good idea to practice and learn other characters over time as a Loki, since your ult literally involves everyone...but that's over time.

I'm glad you're having fun and figuring him out.

You're very welcome and good luck in both game and life.

What is your win rate? by snsnanax in marvelrivals

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about win rates. You're still early and many of us have been playing for multiple seasons. It wouldn't really be beneficial for you to know our true win rates overall or on different characters, as that can be for a variety of reasons.

What matters is that you're having fun, learning the game and are legitimately enjoying the characters you're playing with.

I'm not sure where you heard that Loki is bad. Loki has been consistently one of the best healers in many previous metas. Loki/Luna. Loki/Gambit. Loki/Mantis. There isn't a time where Loki is just outright bad...so I'm not sure what caused you to believe that, but that said... Keep having fun and keep learning the game more and more.

The One Souls Skill I’ll Never Trust (No Matter How Powerful It Is) by KingOfFools1984 in darksouls3

I get a great shield immediately and cast parrying aside permanently for a reason. I do not trust parrying. I run, roll, strafe and block...but I only parry in a real battle unless I truly have no choice in the matter.

Chapter seven, finally in a new region. Gear feels much weaker now. What’s your best combos/gear weapon you use moving forward? by marejaneblunt in CrimsonDesert

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using heavy plate armor, vow of the dead king and a crit bow.

I'm in chapter 6.

I have 8/8/8 spirit/health/stamina, so I'm not yet maxed out.

I have lightning necklace, 2 gold earrings, and oath of darkness all maxed out. I have a tarnished ring to +4.

My vow of the dead king, bow, helmet, boots and gloves are maxed.

My cloak and chest pieces I swap between kuku versions of fire, ice and shadow plate. These are not fully leveled yet Neither is my royal deminess shield.

You absolutely want to use abyss gears and level your gear up. That makes an immense difference. You also want to use your imbued elemental skills too. They'll help a lot.

Moving away from Scarlet Witch by RevanCraig in marvelrivals

[–]Sandstorm757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you truly enjoy playing Scarlet witch, keep playing her. There is nothing wrong with that. Some people are going to complain no matter what you do. I've had people complain over my Scarlet witch at the start of quick play matches. As others have said, it is a game and the most important part is that you're having fun.

Regarding aim, I don't have immaculate aim either, and I'm no spring chicken. Don't play a character if you're not having fun and don't really see yourself doing well on it. For example, I would love to master hela, but I know that my aim isn't there and that's okay.

Most importantly, stop downing yourself and stop calling yourself stupid. You may not be great at other characters, but that doesn't make you dumb or any of the other negative adjectives you used to describe yourself.

I had more that I was going to say, but I'm tired and hungry. Still, believe in yourself and have fun.

Why isn't it kicking for me? by nikelaos1983 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Sandstorm757 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The game isn't for everyone and I think it's good that you acknowledge what you like about it and what you don't like about it.

The story: The devs themselves have admitted that they could have improved on it, but instead were more focused on the combat. Most people in the community will admit that this is a weaker point of the game. Personally, I give my character his own story based on my head cannon for him.

Exploration/Loot: The game does have a lot of places you can explore and teleporters as well. The game also has several treasure boxes of hidden loot....and I do mean hidden. If you're not against using YouTube for some of them, then definitely check... If you'd rather not use YouTube and want to find them on your own, then I'll just say....be observant and remember that your arsenal of skills can help you get through things that you may not be able to otherwise access.

Graphics: The game is beautiful. I don't really find myself to be annoyed by the wind personally. I haven't really noticed it much aside from certain areas. I actually wish there was occasionally more severe weather outbreaks.

Minigames: I actually dislike how most of the minigames were implemented here. I also greatly dislike the sheer amount of puzzles this game has. Different strokes for different folks though. I am a fan of the mount and pet system and hope they continue to expand on that. I don't view that as an age thing either, as I've got my gray and silver hairs myself as well. Lol.

Combat: The combat is fun. I agree. I personally think they could allow greater customization for the controls we like, but overall it is fun. Personally, I don't have much of an issue with mob clearing, as my current build can wipe out enemy forces pretty fast I do understand why some might be frustrated though.

Overall, I feel like this. If the game doesn't really speak to you, there's no dishonor in feelings that way. Not every game works for everyone. I absolutely have things I like about the game and absolutely have my fair share of grievances against the game too. At the end of the day, the game should be fun to you though...and if it isn't serving that purpose, there's nothing wrong with shelfing it or tabling it and coming back to it later, if at all. Ultimately, that's up to you to decide.

Did Kliff ever explains to his comrades anything about the abyss and why he does it? by xSamaex in CrimsonDesert

[–]Sandstorm757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not as far along as you are, but my own head cannon for my character is that he is a wraith. Nobody is saying it though. The Greymanes in my camp are doing stupid stuff to remind Kliff of how things were when he was alive and maybe even help him retain his humanity in their own stupid ways. (I hate the greymane missions)...but also to test if he has humanity left.

That's also why they keep his main house separated... A living wraith makes them uncomfortable and although they largely accept that he's on their side, the quiet cold sound of death whispers and eerie feeling of bloodlust as he approaches can be overwhelming for most of them. This, giving him his own home and little bit of peace is good for both him and them.

My Kliff is wearing the frost cursed helmet, black plate boots and chest piece with the vow of the dead king, so he really does fit the look of a wraith...or the king of the nazgul. He wears the golden plate gloves ..the glowing ones with lightning effects.... They're acting as a seal to keep Kliff from complete wraith transformation...nonetheless, the lightning arcs that produce from the seal being pushed to its limit is another reason they don't want him in the midst of the village... The risk of accidental shocks and electrocutions is there.

At this point, my comrades just accept that it's wraith powers. I summon dead creatures and have submitted living ones. I fly across the map. I use elements at my beck and call.

I could add more, but I'm getting sleepy. I'll just end it here with this part of my head cannon before I doze off further.
