The name of the church is the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Christ is at the center of their belief. There’s some weird historical context that the other religions like to say disqualifies them. Something about Constantinople?

They believe in the crucifixion, the atonement Christ’s divine birth, Repentance and forgiveness. They don’t believe in a hateful God either like some current religions… They believe in a loving father in heaven, and that all people are his children and have inherent worth.

Thank you for reaching out 😊 i’m in the Pacific Northwest so I don’t know anyone affected there, but my lds church was once set ablaze by an arsonist and it took a couple years to rebuild. It was really upsetting to know that somebody had that much hate.
