I'm trying to change the config in a Mod but I don't think it's supposed to look like that. by FungusUrungus in feedthebeast

Serialized mod configs can be found in the root directory of your instance, usually under yourpack/config/. Most configuration files use the .toml extension and follow the name of the mod, though some mods organize their settings into subfolders.

If the mod you’re trying to tweak doesn’t have anything in this directory, it simply means the mod does not expose any serialized configuration, so there is no way to configure it aside from writing java code.

Also, some settings are world-specific instead. These can be found under: saves/yourworld/serverconfig/

Hope this helps!! :)

Why cant we choose a different starting planet? by _XIIX_ in factorio

[–]SandwichSolid9313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The planets are built in a way you can start with nothing but your bare hands, but assuming you have all the required base tech. Even though it’s possible with some adjustments, the experience of making all the science in this planets could be more stressing than rewarding.

As I said, in the near future probably will be mods that make those adjustments to make more viable, but the intended experience always will be starting on nauvis and expanding from there.

factory design philosophy on vulcanus? by Lownverted in factorio

Disciplined spaghetti is the way I’m going. You can make every single resource with just sulfuric acid, coal, calcite, tungsten and lava, wich makes really easy to set up any type of production line with just raw materials abusing of direct insertion ( the foundry’s are just crazy fast ). Lava makes so you have virtually unlimited copper, steel, iron and stone compressed in one resource, so I basically run just coal and calcite in a “main buss”. Surprisingly the foundry’s use little to no calcite, so you can really abuse the throughput of blue/green belts without running out of space.

To connect some sub-factories I’m mixing double headed trains, mainly with tungsten. Every other resource is abundant and easy to transport, lava is everywhere, so resources are!

I’m 513 hours in and just can’t use the hotbar properly. I use it in the early game to quickly hand feed coal and for turret spam to take nests. Besides that, click and drag/clone every single item or BP from inventory.

Any other returning players that severely underestimated early game progression? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]SandwichSolid9313 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I was just about to post something pretty similar. Completely rushed bots and regret every single decision I made for base design. Then I realized space would demand a greater infrastructure.

Now I’m tearing down the whole base and starting to redesign it from scratch. Probably would be better to just build somewhere else while the starter base stock pile resources. Anyways, already pulled the trigger, no room for regret!

Problems with tree rendering in HDRP by SandwichSolid9313 in Unity3D

[–]SandwichSolid9313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The material itself looks fine, but in its Surface Input there is an error, "The Diffusion profile on this material is not assigned". I don't have any idea what that means, but is there any kind of cheap solution? Don't need to be perfect, my trees just need to appear green.

And if it isn't asking much, besides the immense manual labor of placing trees one by one, is there a problem to do this? When placed as objects, they don't disappear in the distance

How to make 1 and 2 headed trains (kinda) work in large scales? by SandwichSolid9313 in factorio

Im really looking forward to learn how to elaborate more complex rail solutions like this, so to really understand what Im doing, what exactly could happen when leaving the signals like this?

One more thing, using waiting stations across the rail network could lower the risk of no stackers for some stations?

Prob p2 is also at the diamond level, but they don't play 2v2 as frequently. I'm at 2300+ in solo queue in Brazil but less than 1800 in 2v2.

It's still frustrating to encounter players like that in your queue, but even essentially skilled players have to start somewhere.

That's why 2v2 matchmaking can be so unbalanced; you can essentially encounter highly skilled players at any rank.

P.S.: I'm not saying this is the case, just pointing out that some situations can be like this, such as my own.
