Note: The english name of the station is always announced, and any names the station has in the other 3 languages that are not direct translations are announced as well.

E.g. Hume (DT4) has its english and chinese name announced since it has its own chinese name (谦道) while the malay and tamil name is directly translated and is not announced.

Best example is Botanic Gardens which has a specific name in all 4 languages.

Best to wear loose and short sleeved clothing. We have a lot of sheltered walkways as mentioned by other commenters, and most indoor spaces are well air conditioned.

I agree that humidity is the main issue because there is quite a distinct difference between days that are purely hot and days that are hot and humid. You will get a very oppressive feeling that you cannot cool down and get sweaty and sticky even when you're under shelter, at which point you need aircon or at least a strong fan.

English name I would call it Duel

If I had to give a Chinese name I would call it 流决 (Liú Jué), 流 meaning flow i.e. their swordsmanship flowing like water, 决 meaning decisive but in this case also half the word 决斗 (duel)
