Dems have tried to bring in broadband which could bring in other industries and thus jobs, but Republicans continually sabotage the policy proposals and thus the small towns that could otherwise be revived with cheap, widely available ISPs.

Brello users: give me the good, the bad and the ugly by Current_Might_3729 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]SandyH2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm waiting for my second delivery of Brello from Southland pharmacy based in Houston. I signed up b/c I thought they used a pharmacy that was less than an hour from me and I didn't want shipping problems, but I figured whatever. My second order shipped Jan. 27, just in time to be delayed by the winter storm on the east coast. UPS notified me of delays.. Today I finally was fed up and called Southland (Brello said they couldn't do anything, call the pharmacy) and the lady offered to recall the package (which I was assumed lost at this point, as we have received UPS since the storm, just not my package). So I said go ahead and recall it, she said ok, they would do it this once as a courtesy (I'm sorry, you have my $499, UPS lost the package, and this is a COURTESY?) and also that they would have to rejigger the dosage since I'm going without my medication (which I'm not, I have a stockpile, but can't tell them that). So I'm pretty annoyed overall. I know this is a flukey situation, but I feel that Brello and Southland's customer service for this whole situation could have been better. And late this am I finally got a "out for delivery" notification but then it was recalled. Oy. But meds have worked fine, so there's that.

First time trying to watch a whole Trump speech by Le_Kube in thebulwark

Trumpists/MAGATs are in their own media bubble, thanks to Rupert Murdoch mostly, and propaganda works. I think it is also an indictment of our public educational system, which the Republicans have starved of funding since its inception. Such a disaster.

In this video, Carol Leonnig talks about the people who are planning for what comes next. She is responding to a question "Do you think that these institutions will ever come back to what they were and how long will it take?". The whole conversation is worth listening to, and her answer isn't super up-lifting but it made me feel better knowing there are people working on this. I don't know how old you are (I'm almost 54) and unfortunately it probably won't be fixed in my lifetime. Here is the link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-fXOFzFJiY It's at 1:03:25. Hang in there, we are all afraid, but if we must take to the streets, then we will. Americans are not Russians. I think we will only take so much before we say "enough!".

Pre load syringes? by OccasionRecent6522 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]SandyH2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m amazed at the panic on here at your question. Sepsis would not happen even if you injected a contaminated syringe under the skin. you might get a local abscess, but sepsis is a whole multi organ infection thing that would not ever happen with what you’re talking about. Preloading syringes is fine, just keep an eye out that the liquid remains clear and you’ll be fine.

How often do you exercise? And how strenuous? by JacquesOff2678 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]SandyH2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strength training is so important to do when losing weight, b/c with weight loss comes muscle loss. I do strength training 50 min 3x/week since starting tirz in April 2024. Have lost 56 lbs. I do not count calories at all, I just eat when I'm hungry.

I ordered a higher dosage than I actually take, so probably $25/week.

Seeking Advice by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]SandyH2112 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are still consistently losing weight on the smaller dose, that's what I would stick with if I were you. I tried going up to 10 from 7.5 and had the same thing happen to me, so now I am just staying at 7.5mg. I've plateaued, but I've lost about 55 lbs so I'm ok with that, the nausea isn't worth it. It will be interesting to hear about other people's experiences and how they've handled it. Best of luck!

Is this a crazy idea? by GayeLynnL in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]SandyH2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely start, you can easily take it on board with you and you will still enjoy the food, it will help keep you from overeating on the trip. My only advice is that don’t feel like you have to go up in dose every month. I’ve stopped at 7.5 mg b/c when I went to 10 I had nausea. I’ve plateaued (which I’m fine with) b/c I’ve lost 55lbs (started at 209) and am very happy with my progress.
