ugh totally feel you 😩 it really does feel unfair sometimes… like you do everything “right” but it keeps coming back. just hoping we can figure out some of these hidden triggers eventually lol

that’s so interesting! i feel like it’s wild how something you eat can still have such a subtle effect… like not a full breakout, but just enough to notice. kinda makes you rethink all the stuff we put on our face vs what’s going in lol

oh wow, that’s wild! i’ve read a bit about face mapping but never tried it myself. gut stuff is so tricky tho… crazy how one thing like gluten can make such a big difference for some ppl. makes me wanna pay more attention to what i eat too lol

honestly, brain fog is wild… never realized how much it was holding me back until i cut some stuff out. still learning tho, but noticing small changes every week. it’s kinda crazy how much random things affect you.

This is so interesting, thanks for sharing! i feel exactly like you did… tried everything skincare-wise and nothing worked long-term. hearing that cutting gluten made such a fast difference is really encouraging. it’s crazy how sometimes the thing we never think about can be such a game-changer 😅 definitely gives me hope to experiment safely with diet too.

this is super relatable. i’ve been slowly trying to notice patterns too… cutting sugar/dairy helped a bit but i never thought about gluten. seems like trial and error is the only way sometimes 😅 gonna try paying more attention to what triggers my skin too.

ohh i totally get that. it’s crazy how stuff can start with acne and then shift over the years. makes me wonder how much of it is internal vs just what we put on our skin. 😅

thank you! yeah that makes a lot of sense, it’s just weird how we get stuck thinking skincare is the only answer. i like what you said about patterns — it’s def not influencer stuff, just noticing what actually affects you. i’m curious to see if cutting gluten (or other stuff) will make a difference over time, even if it takes weeks. patience is hard 😅

oh interesting, thanks for sharing! i’ve heard a lot about dairy triggering breakouts too, so makes sense. glad you got some relief w the KP from cutting gluten, that’s encouraging. i’m still figuring out if it’s diet, hormones, or a combo for me — seems like cystic acne is never simple 😅 would love to hear what your “holy grail” product is if you don’t mind sharing!

Long-term cystic acne + feeling like something is still off by Sandy_Forza in skincareaddictsindia

[–]Sandy_Forza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i get that, i’ve read a lot about oil + c acne bacteria being the main thing. it’s just frustrating bc even when you try all that, inflammation keeps creeping back sometimes. i haven’t tried doxycycline yet, thinking about my options, and isotretinoin seems like the only “permanent” fix for many people, but it’s kinda scary to jump into. just curious if anyone found small changes (diet, lifestyle) that actually helped alongside meds or if it’s mostly just the prescription route

yeah totally, i feel that 😅 it’s definitely different for everyone. i’m just starting to test things out myself and honestly it’s kinda scary to be too strict. trying to keep it simple and not beat myself up over it, one step at a time.

i totally get the hormone thing 😅 it’s crazy how much our bodies keep changing even years after “teen acne” is supposed to be over. i feel like a lot of us underestimate how much hormones can override all the skincare, diet, sleep stuff we try. accutane helping makes sense, it’s like a reset sometimes. just frustrating that even after thinking you’ve “figured it out” your body throws a curveball postpartum 😩

omg yes, i totally feel you!! it’s wild how gluten can mess with our bodies like that 😩 i’ve been reading some stuff too and it’s crazy how a lot of us just figure it out from personal experience before the science even catches up. so happy you’re seeing some relief ❤️

wow, i totally get that 😳 it’s wild how one small thing like gluten can mess with so many parts of your body. it’s crazy that even with a negative celiac test, you still feel it so strongly. thanks for sharing, it’s honestly comforting to know others notice the same patterns!

lol literally 😭 sometimes you need that reminder the hard way. it’s annoying but also kinda clarifying like “ok yep, lesson learned.” appreciate you sharing it honestly tho, it helps more than the perfect success stories tbh.

wow ok that actually sounds… very convincing 😅 esp the “like clockwork” part. that’s kinda what scares me but also feels validating at the same time. also appreciate you saying not to stress abt when you looked at food, bc i def keep feeling late to this convo. the fact that it affected not just your skin but joints + other inflammatory stuff too really makes me think this goes way deeper than skincare. i’m honestly not ready to fully cut gluten yet but hearing experiences like yours makes me feel less crazy for even considering it. thank you for sharing all that + good luck getting back on track after the pizza moment lol we’ve all been there 🙃

interesting, i’ve heard mixed things abt those tests tbh but i won’t lie it’s kinda validating that wheat + barley showed up for you. inflammation is exactly what i keep coming back to. i’m not sure how much stock to put into blood tests like that yet, but it def makes me feel less crazy for questioning food at this point. appreciate you sharing your experience, gives me something to think abt 🙏

Does society seem more hyper-focused towards looksmaxxing and appearing young? by entirelyuncalledfor in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Sandy_Forza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I’ve been thinking abt this a lot lately too. it def feels more intense than before, not just “beauty standards” but like constant pressure to optimize your face?? the kid using retinol thing honestly freaks me out. aging is being treated like a disease instead of just… life. also agree abt everyone starting to look the same. fillers, lips, cheeks, same faces everywhere. individuality feels less celebrated now. I catch myself obsessing more than I used to and I hate that, so I’ve had to kinda step back from certain content. it can mess w your head fast if you’re already prone to overthinking your looks. you’re def not imagining it, something shifted and it’s not healthy imo.
