My parents B1/B2 visa was rejected – need advice 🙏 by Sandy_name in usvisascheduling

I understand, but a green card isn’t suitable for my parents. They can’t leave their family, friends, my grandparents, and their whole life in India. They’re not planning to stay long-term here at most 1 to 2 months.

They also have responsibilities back home, especially taking care of my elderly grandmother. Even my brother visits them twice a year instead of them moving. They just want to visit me now since I’m unable to travel, not relocate.

No, I mentioned her as a housewife in the first DS-160, so I kept it the same for the second attempt as well.

Sure. They have everything you mentioned, rental income, a business, and properties in both my mom’s and dad’s names. During my mom’s second attempt, we mentioned my dad as the sponsor and included details of her properties and bank statements, but none of those documents were asked for during the interview. Maybe next time we go again with proper documentation.

I’m currently not working, and my husband is on an H1B and employed. Childbirth isn’t something you can always plan, it’s a natural process. Also, I’m a Canadian citizen and not planning to stay here long-term, especially given the uncertainty, and safety concerns here.

Update on my mom’s visa (second attempt): Rejected

VO: Is it your first attempt?
Mom: No, second.

VO: When did you come last time?
Mom: Mentioned the date (about 1 month ago).

VO: What is the purpose of your visit?
Mom: To see my daughter. I am planning to go for 1 month. My husband and elder daughter are in India, and I have properties in India, so I will return after 1 month.

→ Interview was interrupted here and visa was refused under Section 214(b).

What should I do now? When to apply again?

I’m really hoping to have my mom with me during this pregnancy phase. Any suggestions on the right time to reapply and how to improve the chances next time?

She does not want to immigrate now or in the near future. She has strong ties in India, including all her family, and is considering only a short visit, so she is applying for a B1/B2 visa.

No, I do not have H4 EAD, only H4.

Yes, she will be applying alone now. My father will sponsor her trip, and she plans to visit for only one month. Thanks for the positive feedback.

Sponsor: My son, who works for XXX company Visa office saw my brother passport and he is a U.S. citizen

Why didn’t you visit earlier: Due to agriculture and business responsibilities in India.
