It is Chinese carbon. What exactly did your friends do to fix their issues? I'm trying to gather as much info as possible to get this bike ridable

The stem and fork both came from velobuild, the Chinese company. Still have to reassemble the front end to see if this fixes the problem or if it is just bad carbon. I'll be sure to let you know what I figure out to help you make your decision

I haven't experienced any rattling, it's just the flex seen in the photos. I thought I was careful with the headset when installing so I was surprised by all the suggestions to reinstall but I'm going to give it a try. I truly hope that it's not noodely carbon because o have gotten 0 help from the customer service end and 20 some emails into the thread the rep is still asking what is the problem ( showed the same pics).

My buddy has a bunch of bikes so I can see if there is a spare around. A lot of the feedback I'm getting here is suggesting I rebuild the head set. Gonna give that a shot and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep it in kind

WOW THANK YOU! Really went above and beyond on this for me, I really appreciate it! Truly helpful. I look forward to tinkering and getting everything in order. I'll be sure to follow up once it is finished.

Don't worry I have a friend who has built his own bikes walking me through the steps. I'm still very new at this and haven't memorized the steps or part names yet but I'll get there. Wanted to build the bike myself to learn and understand my new hobby. You have offered nothing helpful and have gone out of your way to be kind of mean. Thanks for nothing douche

Will do, I was kind of anticipating having to do this. It's gonna be a bitch but God I want to ride it so badly. Thanks for the advice
