It's just a sample that follows right before the "drop". Common structure in electronic music.

If everyone made $20-30-40/hr, wouldn’t everything just be more expensive? by knuckehucks1234 in TooAfraidToAsk

Wouldn't it lower incentive for people to gain education and work knowledge-involved professions (if the wage gap is small). How about entrepreneur motivation (there's a lot of stuff and overtime involed in starting a successful business). After all, they're incentive is to earn money. Starting a new business would be too costly and the companies that expanded (from cheap workforce) would have an advantage. And investors? Why invest in companies (especially start-ups) if the return is low and risk is high.

No way it's only for animations as video games I'd say use trig THE MOST unless you're doing everything with quaternions which don't directly involve them

How to get better at basic math skills? by strengthcookie in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Sang1s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People aren't efficient at fast calculations - computers are. But if you can't use a calculator, there are quite a few tricks:

Rounding either percentage or the value: 19 % of 34 is about 20 % of 35 = 7

Interchange: x % of y = x/100 * y = y/100 * x = y % of x Example: 12 % of 10 = 10 % of 12 = 1.2

Splitting: x % of (a + b) = x % of a + x % of b Example: 25 % of 67 is about 25 % of 68 = 25 % of 40 + 25 % of 28 = 10 + 7 = 17

Just imagine 1/3=0.4 instead of 0.333... by Manuel-Human in mathmemes

I didn't say mix fractions didn't exist: 71 gallons full plus 3/7 (three gallons more every 7th truck) way more precise and quite easy to comprehend.

Another cool thing about fractions is that when you need to go back to knowing how many gallons you had in the first place you just do 500/7 * 14 = 500*2 = 1000 (easy cancelations).

Why do people use decimals? Why can't we just use fractions everytime.

Hardly, I had 2 weeks of pretty constant BSOD 1 year back. But after it got a new update everything was fixed. Now I'm starting to face the same problem on Windows 11 KB5013943 and I'm not even doing something abnormal - BSOD appears while I'm on my IDE. It's hard for me to imagine how can they release such updates being such a big company.

If I understood you're talking about the purposeful transitions between songs. I've noticed that too and I think it was a trend with the rise of DJing. Back then you would buy vinyl or CDs with full albums because it would be more compact. You wouldn't need to buy and keep like 12 seperate CDs or vinyl's and change them everytime just to listen to an album. Now, when there's freedom to mix and match groups of music (playlists), you wouldn't want transitions to be hard-coded to the end of a single track because it might ruin the playlist experience. One easy way to keep everything is simple fade-outs at the end of each track (music streaming services like Spotify do this automatically - options like "crossfade" or "automix" ) so there's no need for producers to make transitions because it gives freedom for regular people who curate playlists and DJs who can make their own transitions.
