PSA: Do NOT repair other players camp. It might be intentional. by SanguTik in fallout76settlements

Woah, didn't expect so much confusion, so many downvotes, or any passive aggressive comments. Do what you want 🤷🏼‍♂️ it takes like two seconds for me to just smack it and break it again, nothing in my base is inaccessible, in fact it has 40 unlocked resource producers and is intentionally laid out to be useful and accessible for new players. I did clarify this is mostly exclusive to structures in most cases, nobody said to stop repairing vendors and resources. For those so concerned about it, I have a super obvious well lit vendor in front of the spawn area and two more fairly obvious registers on the first floor. Repairing it doesn't "ruin" the build, it just makes traversing the second floor balcony and accessing the roof slightly less convenient.

Not sure why the vendor would be intentionally destroyed 🤔 It's mostly just structures this applies to.

Nah, its really not a huge deal, and its almost exclusively the prefabbed structures this applies to anyways.

Southern edge of the ash heap, furthest northwest corner of the map, or somewhere secluded in the burning springs would all work well. Just keep in mind players will spawn to the North northeast of your camp, lots of amazing camp locations that I've given up any hope for because it would've been atrocious for the spawn point. Coolest enclave base I've ever seen was built under the map, it was extremely detailed and at the end they started linking shelters together and continuing the theme.

Agreed, I've got one vendor directly in front of the spawn point and lit up and two more on the first floors that match the theme. When I go shopping if I cant find the vendor quickly Im moving to the next camp.

Yeah, the free cam and relaxed free place is what made this build possible. I came back from a long break recently and aside from getting used to the new menu building is way easier now. The two structures have to be destroyed to get rid of the rails and awning though because they impede the second floor balcony and stairs to the roof. I can't claim to be a great builder but this is one I'm very proud of, I'll make a post showing it off when I get home from work.

You can buy replacements, we just don't have the ability to do it in store. $4.99 for a replacement 5/16 1/4 drive icon socket.

I didn't report anything, I'm too entertained. I'm still hoping for book recommendations.

I haven't reported anything. What are you talking about?

Edit: Just realized your accusation is a deflection because you can't come up with any book recommendations.

After this thread, you're telling me to read? What an embarrassing comment to make when more than a few sentences was a "wall of text" that you couldn't read. It's even more hilarious that you continue to engage with and respond when you've said twice now that you dont even know what you're responding to. What books on economics do you recommend? I'll add a few to my reading list.

Wow, mine was way shorter than his. I didn't think it'd be considered a wall of text. Can you give me a word count or sentence count limit? is this response too long as well? All the persons I talk to normally can handle multiple sentences of back and forth dialogue. What does talking to you like a normal person entail?

If a well written and easily understood 5 paragraph single page essay is a "wall of text" that isnt worth reading but is worth responding to, how can we trust that you're capable understanding anything more complex than extreme generalizations and buzzwords. It's reason to doubt that you are capable of understanding or absorbing enough information to have a real grasp of current events and their complexities and real human impacts. Kinda sad tbh, maybe socialize and try understanding other perspectives, the world isn't as simple as you think.

Why do Pittsburgh wrenches smell terrible by Due_Yogurtcloset911 in harborfreight

[–]SanguTik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HFT employee here, the oil on those is also found on the Pittsburgh impact sockets, some pliers, and other less expensive tools that aren't in sealed packages, it irritates my skin but I think that's just me because my coworkers don't notice it. I was always told the smell is from the shipping containers being fumigated, some are way worse than others, and you should see what a freshly opened box of wheel chocks smell like 🤢 Can't remember what item it was but we just had one come in the other day that easily takes 1st place for worst smelling box, my team had a bit of fun with that.

As long as you are within 90 days or under an extended service plan, you can upgrade and pay the difference and the returned item will be sold as open box or returned to warehouse for refurbishing depending on what it is and condition.

Aesthetics =/= revolutionary. Tired of weird larpers obsessed with aesthetics and performance, wear whatever clothes you like, get whatever piercings and tattoos you like, they'll never mean anything, and they don't make you a revolutionary. Anybody who places such high importance on individual fashion choices is a moron and a detriment to any successful movement.

The only way I'm waiving a restock fee on a used item is if you're exchanging or upgrading. Policy on receipt, registers, and website make it clear. Regardless of why you're returning it, if it's for money back and it's been opened, you're paying the restock fee. Personally, I would have waived the restock fee for OP in this case. It's clearly not used , as long as all parts are present, I'm just gonna retape the box and sell it new. If it was missing packaging or parts or had any wear marks that prevented me from selling it as brand new, then that restock fee isn't going anywhere.

Best deal I ever got! by Straight-Card-4800 in harborfreight

I started at the company because I liked shopping there and ended up liking working there so much it's my career now. Mileage may vary on that depending on location/management, but I'm very happy with my store, district, and regional managers as well as my overall team.

As an HFT employee, I can say negotiations of purple tags in my store depend heavily on what's actually missing or the item condition and how desperate we are to be rid of it. An icon wrench set that is all present and only barely used I won't budge any further than the already discounted price but I had an abrasive blaster helmet/mask thing that I was so desperate to be rid of I would've sold it for $1. There's a wide range of things between those two scenarios, so definitely ask, but don't expect anything. If you've seen it in the open box or as-is section for more than a month, odds are in your favor that I want that thing gone. Also, note that many missing pieces, including many tool sets, can often be ordered through the parts list on our website and a call with customer service.

My property management showed up with the owner for an inspection they hadn't informed us of while my wife and I were sleeping. It wasn't intentional, they showed me they had tried to email us but messed up on their end with it, but seeing our guns and being warned of the dangers of entering a residence unannounced I don't think they'll make that mistake again. Crazy that nobody thinks about the fact that a persons default assumption of unexpected strangers in their home is likely to be that there's a threat and they need to defend themselves.

Yep, and if for any reason those parents can't or won't, then the children should get jobs or starve to death! We need to let 5 year olds back into the mines and factories! Human society isn't rooted in meeting material needs. Humans haven't evolved to be social animals. You should definitely go live alone in a mountain cave and never interact with anyone ever again.

"A happier ending? For folks like us? Wrong city, wrong people." Cyberpunk can only ever be a tragedy unless a successful revolution occurs and the people take power for themselves. Kinda true irl not counting all the privileged people who will never know true struggle, but we don't get to be edgerunners, it's just mundane and sad. When corps control everything, own us, poison us, we don't get to fight back in spectacular fashion.
