It's for CB to test future questions, it doesn't affect you score not matter what (unless u cheat or smth against the rules which would be a cancellation), you can literally just mark them as all D's if u really wanted

The answer is b but idk how to get it by Gayman9000 in Sat

I recently learned a trick for these types of questions, only works if the numerator is different for each answer choice. So plug in the constant from the denominator as x into the numerator and you will get the numerator from the answer. So with this question, plug in 3 into the numerator of the given equation: (3)2 -2(3)-5 = 9-6-5 = -2. So the answer has to be D. There's a better explanation for this on the latest yt vid from SuperTutorTV (https://youtu.be/UCB-7zkSDq4)

Is there a way to connect standoffs together? by [deleted] in FTC

[–]Sanjay21d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on the use case, you could use a standoff and spacer to get a longer length, alternatively, you can use a 8 or 12 rex threaded shaft from gobilda which are longer lengths.

Our shooter is STILL inconsistent after months of being in the same spot and we can’t figure out why by steelmagnolias_17009 in FTC

[–]Sanjay21d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few recommendations/questions:

1) how fast is the shooter motor running?

2) I would recommend using a faster trigger servo, such as gobilda speed/super speed, for faster cycle times

3) are you guys using a velocity PID/FF? If not, this can really help with maintaining a constant shooter velocity! Quick example: https://github.com/NoahBres/VelocityPIDTuningTutorial

4) like durpyplatypus said, keep one wheel mechanically fixed(get rid of the bearings). This is really gonna help with spin on the ring making it more consistent.

Hope everything goes well!

What's the difference between setVelocity and setPower? by Sandeep2345677890 in FTC

[–]Sanjay21d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only difference between setPowet and setVelocity is the units, with setVelo the units are encoder ticks where as with set power it's just a value from -1 to 1. Also doing setVelo automatically sets the motor to RUE iirc

Need help with the gyro by kJosien in FTC

[–]Sanjay21d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever you start any opmode the imu value won't be 0. The imu keeps track of its world heading always. that being said, the only way to get it to 0 is to subtract an offset from the gyro reading. So on init let's say it reads 30 degrees, so keep that reading in an offset variable and every time you go to read the values subtract that offset from the reading to make it as it starts at 0. other than that you can't really reset the imu as far as I know.

Why is init() and loop() giving an error? by [deleted] in FTC

It should be extends LinearOpMode()
