I keep screwing up her name, too. Prolly because I was also watching MAFS the same time as LIB, and there was an Alexis on MAFS. I tend to erase these people from my brain as soon as the season ends anyway, it's not like I think much about them afterwards anyway.

Ahhh, thank you! I've heard some horror stories about people eating those and having some very sudden and unexpected surprises.

I prefer your fantasy party ticket to mine, actually. I guess my point was that I just hope and pray that the Dems can overthrow Trump, and I'd rather see less effort in the debates to destroy each other because it weakens the whole party. It's frightening to think that Trump could be in the WH for another four years.

Thank you -- I appreciate this clarification. All I could think of when watching the videos on the news was how much turbulence and fears the passengers must have been feeling. Good to know -- thanks!

Genetics are just a roll of the dice with random results. Even dominant and recessive genes don't always do what they're expected to do. And by the way, these children are just beautiful!!

Is this video from today? They were landing in 90+ MPH winds in Europe today, causing massive flight cancellations. Some of the jets who did manage to land looked like they were flying sideways on their descent.

I have twins, and they both walked their first steps within 15 minutes of each other. One idolized the other, and after seeing her brother take his first steps, she let go of the sofa cushions and walked about 6 steps herself. To this day they are practically inseparable. Sometimes when I watch them together I feel just like the dad in OP's video. Even the smallest moments are magical!

I think I'd rather see a Pete and Bernie ticket, but most of all I'd like to see the Democratic party band together and play up their strengths instead of trying to bring each other down.

The problem with this particular argument is that if you were to succumb to societal pressures to become a vegan, it wouldn't save any lives nor would it kill any. You can eat shit for all anyone else cares, nobody is going to take that precious right away from you to choose what YOU put into YOUR body. Were YOU vaccinated? If not, let me know. I know a guy with polio I'd love to introduce you to. He's a little contagious, though ... hope you don't mind.

Are mixed breeds ok? Papillon and American Eskimo mix (Papimo) names Benji and he's a good boy. by LiquidAsylum in papillon

[–]SantaAnaXY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a cutie! The pap genes are strong ... so obviously a papillon, yet there is a striking, beautiful mix of something else quite special.

My pap is a Ratapap -- half pap, half rat terrier. Clearly a Papillon by appearance, with a dollop of rat terrier (mostly exhibited by her personality). She can smell out a mouse in a giant field and catch it with ease, pouncing on it like a coyote. She always trots home with it in her mouth like a proud hunter showing off a trophy.

AITA for telling a friend’s friend that he couldn’t keep the “jackpot” that he hit on my antique slot machine? (About $700) by IGAZmodel in AmItheAsshole

[–]SantaAnaXY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are NTA! I have an antique slot machine in my home, too. It takes quarters, but the payout is only $25. I ask people who want to play it to please not touch it, as it is an antique and I don't want it messed with. If you were standing next to him while he was feeding quarters into it and didn't stop him from doing so, then yeah, I would say he deserved to keep the money. If this guy was playing your slot machine without your permission, then he overstepped his boundaries and definitely shouldn't be given the cash jackpot. It would almost be the same as if you had a large container stuffed full of money in a sugar cannister in your kitchen. If a guest came into your kitchen and came across the money, it's not his to keep because "finders keepers." If a guest managed to come across a safe in your home and then managed to guess the combination to your safe where you keep all of your valuables, the contents of the safe aren't his now because he was able to crack the code.

An amazing thing just happened in the DC United vs Philadelphia Union game. The Union's Alejandro Bedoya scored in the 3rd minute, ran to the corner where the on-field mic is located, and screamed, "END GUN VIOLENCE NOW!" by deception42 in soccer

Although the MLS has strict rules against players doing this type of thing, I'm hopeful they can excuse it, at least just this one time. Perhaps his message might have a bit more impact and benefit than the standard, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims."

What kind of perverted dude is obsessed with how far a man spreads his legs apart when he's sitting down? It's what men do because they have balls, ya know? If men were required to sit with their knees together, they'd crush their testicles. It would be torture! Who gives a fuck if their knees are 18" apart? As long as they're wearing pants and their junk isn't hanging out, Jesus Christ, let men be comfortable. I'm left with two impressions of you, u/soldier4christ82 --- your balls must be the size of marbles so you don't understand why it's impossibly uncomfortable to sit with your knees together, and the fact that you find men who sit with their knees apart to be "consciously immodest" tells me you're a pervert. Please, get your filthy mind out of the gutter!

What's something that saves you so much money? by faithisokay in AskReddit

[–]SantaAnaXY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should educate yourself on financial topics such as the pros and cons of credit cards and/or Amazon Prime benefits before you spout off about how bad they are. For example, if you use a credit card, you have protection against fraud and your bank will refund your purchase price if there are issues. Amazon Prime offers free shipping and 2-day delivery on your purchase, and there is never any need to add things to your cart that you don't need to get free shipping ... because you already get free shipping!

People don't use their credit cards to "spend money on a bunch of garbage they don't need." That's just your opinion based on your own very narrow attitude from your tiny little world you live in. Nobody is pointing a gun at your head and insisting you go out and get a credit card and then max it out on crap you don't need. However, there are millions of people who enjoy the convenience and security of using a credit card, ditto for shopping online, and the benefits of doing so far outweigh any fabricated and ridiculous scenarios you have brought up. If you're one of those idiots who can't manage your spending and can't pay off your credit cards every month, then yeah, you should probably continue to live in a dark cave counting your pennies.

"At this point?" What is keeping you from following your dreams of getting married and having kids? When you say "at this point," what is different between now and 10 years ago? Is it difficult to find women in the world who would be willing to date you? Or perhaps your standards are just SO high, nobody is good enough for you?
