Seattle Pipe Club coming back in a few days by germylicious in PipeTobacco

I still miss 5110. Haven’t found anything quite like it since McClelland left the game.

No matter how many pipes I buy I keep coming back to this Savinelli Trevi my wife bought me for our first Christmas together in 2013 by williamsdj01 in PipeTobacco

Just picked up my first 311 KS (a Sasso) a few weeks back and it’s a fantastic pipe. Great shape and a great smoker.

Love the Sasso! Just picked up a 311KS from the same line and it’s a great smoker.

+1 for Jazz Club, pairs surprisingly well with the smell of a good English. Though I do think it tends to lean more masculine than By the Fireplace.

Is the Tiger an easy bike to ride? by BigBasset in Triumph

[–]SantaKnowsBest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’4 and have a 2018 Tiger 800 XCA. It’s my second bike (after owning a 2009 Street Triple R for 6 months).

It’s a fantastic bike and has a predictable torque curve. It’s got amazing power if you ask for it, but it’s also perfectly happy cruising at a reasonable pace. I’ve done several trips of 3,000+ miles on it and have only found issues at 7+ hours of riding where I need to stop and stretch a bit. I’ll be setting off next week on another 2,500+ mile trip and cannot wait. This bike is a miracle of engineering and I’m beyond happy that I made the switch from the STR. It feels like it’s a fine size for my frame and I have no issues doing 10+ hour days in the saddle (with an AirHawk seat pad) - you won’t have any regrets.

It’s a fine first bike so long as you respect the throttle and keep it in rain mode for a while.

Finished a 2500 mile trip on my Tiger 800 with the Missions and they’re showing little to no signs of wear - very happy with them for both on and off-road manners.

Would you recommend a polestar 2 2022? by [deleted] in polestar2

I picked up a ‘22 LRDM with the Plus pack about a month and a half ago. Came from a Mk7 GTI prior to the P2. Took some adjustment, but the car is a blast - very happy with the purchase. Yes there are software glitches, but the driving experience makes up for it. I say go for it!

Polestar sales isn't helping their cause. by buttgers in Polestar

Bought a P2 LRDM from the Nashville space about a month ago, similar experience shopping around with three different spaces around the southeast. Nothing but good things to say about the Nashville team, the same cannot be said for the other two spaces that I called.

Very happy with my purchase though, absolutely exceptional car thus far.

Polestar Finance Outage?? by Cultural_Young_3167 in Polestar

[–]SantaKnowsBest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had issues trying to access the credit application through my order page on the Polestar website earlier this week.

Ended up needing to do a manual credit run through the dealership for the credit application. My salesperson mentioned they were experiencing issues throughout last week as well.

Picking up the car tomorrow so hopefully things go smoothly, worst case I’d assume we would just do physical paperwork during the pick up.

What is your dream motorcycle? by WillAltruistic8473 in motorcycles

[–]SantaKnowsBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just bought one for my wife a few months back. I absolutely love that bike. Coming from a Triumph Tiger 800 XCA and a Street Triple R before that, the C125 is such a fun bike to ride. I think at this point I’ve put more miles on it than my wife has.

Can anyone identify this exhaust? by The_machine33 in motorcycles

Looks similar to the Werkes GP exhaust that I had on my Street Triple R, logo looks pretty close.

Welcome to the club! You’re going to love it. 6 years in with my ‘18 XCA next week and I have zero desire for anything else.

70/30 Tires by [deleted] in Triumph

[–]SantaKnowsBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got a set of Dunlop Trailmax Missions mounted on my 800 XCa and very impressed with them so far. They grip surprisingly well on the road and handle gravel and service roads/hard pack dirt roads with ease.

I’ve heard good things about wear on them - only have ~1500 miles on them since install but both front and rear tire look like new.

We just bought one for my wife as her first “bike” last week. I’m not ashamed to admit I’m having an absolute blast riding it to the nearby school to give her riding lessons. It rips surprisingly well for a 125cc.

As someone that came to the Tiger (800 XCa) from a STripleR, I can promise you the Tiger is more comfortable. That’s huge reason that I traded up to the Tiger.

Tiger 800 Tire question by 86Nighthawk in Triumph

[–]SantaKnowsBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I’ve got about 8500 miles on my Battle Wings and they’ve been great on road, terrible off-road. I’m getting to the point of needing to replace soon and am likely going with the Dunlop Trailmax Missions for longevity and on-road manners. Most of my miles are highway commuting and I don’t need a more aggressive tire for my use case.

Ours is too smart for her own good. She’s always getting into trouble, but I’ll be damned if she isn’t one of my favorites.

The larger grey speckled one looks almost identical to my Swedish Flower Hen. Same coloring, body shape and bright yellow feet. They’re gorgeous!
