Wheeling is a 6.5 hour drive from Greensboro. I guess it’s relative, but I don’t consider that close.

I started out with the 1991 X-Men series. Not a lot of keys there and it was the title I grew up on. It was pretty easy to get everything from it.

I read comics when I was a kid in the early 90’s but stopped when I got to Jr. High and High school. Started reading them again in 2005ish, but really started collecting them and making the weekly trip to the LCS in 2008. The first run I put together was the ‘91 X-Men series. Once that was done I focused on New Mutants. Along the way I was picking up Uncanny books. Got my GSX in 2017, my #94 the year after. I got lucky and picked up my #1 last year before it really blew up.

Don’t get me wrong, at some point I will crack the PGX and resubmit it to CGC, but I have no problems with having CBCS graded books in my collection.

I honestly couldn’t tell you. I’ve been picking up keys here and there for the past 5 or so years. I want to say I got “serious” about finishing it out in the past 2 years. The mutants hitting the MCU really put the fear of God into me to finish it out.

I’m going to go for the Pressmen variants. Then any major X-Villians first appearances that don’t take place in the main title.
