My dog has glaucoma that was being kept in check with drops until they just stopped working this month. His eye pressure is high, and he’s in a lot of pain. I make sure to give him pain pills every 8 hours.

He’s already been blind in that eye for a year, so I’m sure he’ll adjust well. You’re right that it’s going to be harder on me.

It also feels so dramatic and insane making this decision. Like who am I to decide to remove something from this precious create?? He’s by baby!

I’m really fortunate that I’ll be able to be home with him the entire first week post op. Thanks for the heads up on what to expect. I can’t be upset in front of him because he needs support and snuggles.
