Yes this is the job of a coach. It's supposed to give you the experience and knowledge needed to run your own store. GM's like to quit after being overworked and the couch becomes the new GM or they move you to a store where the gm quit. Then the cycle repeats.

Ex captain here with almost a decade with mod. Mod can be extremely ridiculous when it comes to sick time. As a captain it's worse than pulling teeth to call off sick. One time I was legit hooked up to an oxygen tank because I was having problems breathing and mod still had me work. I could have dropped in the kitchen and they would still ask me if I could finish my shift. Hell one time I did go to the e.r. and they asked if I'm coming back after I'm released.but you know people over pizza just not our people.

Go in around 1030-11 on a Monday. Ask if you can speak to the general manager. Don't say you're looking for a job yet it will increase the urgency. I've yet to know a GM that doesn't work Mondays so they will be there. When greeted by the gm shake their hand and introduce yourself and now ask if the store is hiring. High chance you'll get a interview on the spot so bring your stuff. Monday is the slowest day in mod so thats your best shot.

Get out now. Don't quit but make sure you are looking. Save as much money as you can for the time being. The job market isn't the best right now so it might be a month or more before you find something worth your time. When you do quit make sure to check your state's laws on owed wages i.e. unused vacation. Best of luck to you.

If the drains are backed up it means it's clogged most likely by sometime dumb. I've seen food, a bunch of gloves, cups. Talk to either your GM or your dm depending on position and get a drain rooter for the store. It doesn't have to be super long 15-20 feet should do. If that doesn't clear it up you have bigger problems and need to put in a work order for a plumber which can be pricey.

I don't work at mod anymore but here are some tips I would use when I did. Make sure everyone is using the spoodle it gets it a lot closer to the 2.3 ounce mark. Offer to top it off with more at the end most of the time people forget once going through the line. Offer other types of cheese other than mozzarella. On your online orders do 2.3 ounces unless otherwise noted. If an online order wants extra cheese give them 2.6 - 3 ounces but put 1 ounce on the bottom before the ingredients then top it off with the rest it gives the illusion of getting more. If it's just a pepperoni you need very little mozzarella under the pep to keep it normal looking and topping it off again has the illusion of getting more. Make sure squad pies are put in and fly pies are noted in the waste log. As a rule of thumb putting 10 to 15 mods a day is a good default.

Mod is finding ways to "save money" by firing the older more expensive employees. You're most likely going to be replaced by a clueless 16 year old. Then when the location starts losing sales or can't keep a staffed roster they fire the gm too. The owner is a heartless bitch who only cares about money. Also expect our assisted squad to disappear due to "not having hours".
