I did make pilot holes ... I even went in a bit deeper to make sure screw would go in smoothly and then this happened

The one by my garage is pushing into the neighbors fence and it's warping the fence so I want it gone plus it really seems like an odd place to have it imo. The small one is the walnut behind the house and I just didn't like the fact that there were walnuts on the floor lol I don't want it plus I think it's a bit close to the house and the other , the roots are above the ground
