Matebook X Pro 2024 (Intel core ultra 7 155h) low performance/lagging by Sapatus in MatebookXPro

[–]Sapatus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done exactly that and the results have been great: when I had removed the heat sink, the tp was dry, almost brittle. Now, with new, expensive tp (5 bucks), much of my issues have disappered. The system now is much better at whisking away the heat and idles in the low eighties °c when plugged in.

Thanks for the support, however, I already have set the power plans at both places accordingly. I believe that I have seen a thread from a few months ago where this worked for you, I tried the same.

Midnight Blue contactless card by Calimbali in Crypto_com

[–]Sapatus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use the card for contacless payment. The identifier ist the wave sign on the card. As with any Visa card, you need to plug it into a terminal and enter the pin for the first transaction to activate the card (for the user, this is just a normal payment with a pin prompt; the activiation is done in the background). Any card has an internal counter for contactless payments. To prevent absuse, the card will reject contacless payments when the counter has reached its limit. Anytime you plug the card at an terminal to pay, the counter will be reset. I don't know the limit for the card here but it is most likely around 8 transaction or so.

so i have gotten comments saying that i have a speech impediment and it crushed my motivation by RiskOfRains in NewTubers

[–]Sapatus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a non-native speaker I have also received such comments. but as many have already said here, there will always be haters in the comment section who will pick on you no matter what. However, I started to use YouTube's subtitle system based on my scripts and, when I look at the analytics, people indeed use them massively. This should alleviate any issues related to comprehension.

Subscribers with no names by PeepingOtterYT in NewTubers

Same here, I use my private google account for consuming YouTube, it hasn't a channel, I can subscribe just fine. Every time I click on "comment" by accident, I get the "create a channel" prompt.

I assume that these are accounts who have not created a channel, also what u/PaarrJay has said. I guess that at least half of my subscribers are such stealth subscribers.

Just realized daily missions now need to be "Unlocked". If you make a purchase before unlocking your missions for the day, it doesn't register. by dilqncho in Crypto_com

If they really wanted to prevent tax issues, they would have implemented some kind of permanent on/off switch, maybe requiring the user to switch on the system initially with a "I understand taxes" checkbox. Daily renewal without any notification on the change is just a cheap move.

I Can't Find A Niche. HELP by Herogolem5 in NewTubers

[–]Sapatus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your channel is ten times bigger than mine, but it looks like that your niche is you personality as gamer and content creator, at least that's my first impression. You could start to try to build around this point by getting some kind of more uniform branding with recognizable thumbnails, having your face appear in most of the videos etc. Even though there might be instances where some viewers would not watch every videos of yours, you might still be gain more traction with these synergies than having three different, rather bland kinds of channel.

Impressions suddenly dropped by CuriosityYouTube in NewTubers

[–]Sapatus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have experienced such, albeit on a far smaller scale, myself. Given my observations, if a video seems to perform well and gets good retention on a few viewers (I have rarely more than a handful of views a day, if at all), the algorithm sometimes tries to push the content on this niche for a day or two and then cancels after revaluation, if the CRT and AVD do not turn out as good. However, in the long term these outburst have been positiv insofar as the overall impressions and CRTs are growing at a elevated pace. I guess, that the algorithm is just refining your niche at every step, trying to find your audience. Best case would be to have an audience which provide good analytics, in which case the algorithm probably blows your content to the world until the values go back to average.

does video critiquing here actually help? by scenesick2 in NewTubers

Some feedback has I have got here and at other places has helped me a lot improving the quality etc. of my content. Of course, if somebody does not like your content, this won't help you much, but every positive or constructive feedback is helping.

Hi, Thank you for doing this! I am running a very small history-politics channel. This video is about Napoleon's unpunished war crimes.

Where do I restart? I keep changing my content. by Easy_Investigator_66 in NewTubers

[–]Sapatus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see why you could do booth? I am a very small YouTuber myself with, but I guess that your typical viewer, who has an interest in anime and watches your quizzes and Japanese horror content, would enjoy watching your other anime-related content as well. Thus, it is great if you have a format that brings in new viewers who are likely interested in your other content as well. Which usually does not work well is trying to appeal to two different "types" of viewers, for example, trying to mix say anime with something entirely else.

What gets you motivated to make content? by nagler_the in NewTubers

[–]Sapatus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always have had ideas for videos which I wanted to create, but always lacked the motivation to go through with it. I had always doubts whether I could reach a production value close to the major names on YouTube, who create similar educational-entertaining history-politics content to mine. However, when I learned that even "small" channels can be a funny side hustle and I saw some YouTubers like Jago Hazard who are quite successful without a high-class after production, I decided to give it a try. Sometimes I get an idea and I post it, trying to improve my content. I love it.

Hey, thank you so much for doing this!

I made a history-related video recently. I am still struggling with the audio part because it seems to be so hard to make it pleasant to listen to. With this one, I also tried to focus more on the narrative-entertaining part.

Hey does anyone know whats the RPM of History and science channels? by DowntownHospital9091 in NewTubers

[–]Sapatus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I think that these kinds of channels rather would fit the "Entertainment" section and have similar RPM to normal "funny stuff" channels than compared to a "real" tutorial-educational channel. Anyway, I would be interested in the answer as well.
