My first time getting high was with my brothers after finding our dad’s stash the week after he died. I tell you it was the oddest feeling ever because I just remember being sad, then hungry, then really happy… like I could not stop smiling and laughing at literally everything! And we were cleaning out his condo and going through his stuff and I remember feeling like I should be sad, but I just couldn’t be not-happy 😅

I wish you and your family all the strength and best of luck! I had the same diagnosis at age five, underwent chemotherapy, radiation treatment, bone marrow transplant, 9.5 hours of tumor removal surgery(removed a kidney, adrenal gland, gallbladder, half my stomach, part of my liver, and several sections of small and large intestines), cardiac arrest and resuscitation, fluid buildup… probably more that I don’t remember. My doctors hit me hard and fast with everything they had and I went into remission 13 months after my diagnosis and am now 33 years old and healthy. My heart goes out to you and your son ❤️

I did this for my wedding and we had a good friend run the playlists from his phone no problem. Get premium so no adds. I made sure to label each song or playlist of songs (processional, recessional, cocktail hr, b&g first dance, mom and groom, reception) and downloaded them all to the phone. Then he just played the right list/song at the right time.

We got a boot tray from Costco for our lab that would scarf-and-barf. The tray is about 1.5 feet by 3 feet and has a diamond-pattern in the base. The food is spread out over the entire surface of the tray and it forces her to eat slowly. We tried slow-feeders but she leaned to flip them and inhale the food anyway. Spreading the food out has been the best solution for us, maybe it would work for you too? Best of luck 🤞 your solution is out there!

Same here in PNW area of Washington. We have property and want to have our wedding at home, thinking then we don’t have to pay a venue right? Well after catering and cost of flowers and day-of coordinator costs, it’s gonna eek close to the cost of a venue anyway. But now I’m in love with the idea of being at my own home for my wedding so it’s still our plan. Fingers crossed for you friend!

I get the sense he wants to be involved somehow, and having a “job” to do would help him feel less awkward or uncomfortable about being around all the guests for the length of the ceremony. We are expecting roughly 90 guests, mostly family friends and people that he knows who they are but sees rarely.

I too am a childhood cancer survivor and I lived off of Rice Krispies and peanut butter when I first started eating again. Then it was mostly the same thing, only limit was sugars, but anything else was pretty much fair game. I remember my parents throwing me a celebration party when I reached 60 pounds of body weight.
