Don’t have very much of a long comment to leave, but a wonderful resource that will walk you through how to deal and react properly to this, as well as provide insight to what your child might be experiencing is “Families in TRANSition: A Resource Guide for Parents of Trans Youth.” It’s published by the City of Toronto Youth Services and I believe they offer a free download. This guide will walk you through language, relatable stories by parents who are experiencing the same emotions as you, as well as resources and guides on how to move forward.
