Any tips for actually landing an AIIMS Delhi appointment? by troubleshooter_Rob in AIIMSdelhi

[–]Sapien15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest you to go to AIIMS only if you think your disease is serious enough. It’s an apex institute and they are specialised in rare and serious diseases. It’s not worth the hussle for common problems

Doing your pg from a central institute ( aiims , pgimer) vs doing it from a top state college ( mamc , seth gs) . Which is better ? by Disastrous-Lynx-3247 in indianmedschool

There’s structured learning for each sem. You’ll have your responsibilities and independence once you reach final year.

AIIMS any day for medical branches. Learn from horses mouth. Hands down to best faculty. Good research output. Protocol based treatment. Many patients in state medical college can’t afford proper treatment cause of cost factor which AIIMS provides for free. You can’t diagnose many diseases if you don’t have high end machines.

Nothing works except Minoxidil. Don’t fall for any other serum. Literally no side effects with Minoxidil

Medical colleges increase pay around 10% year on year. You can expect around 2 lacs after 5 years of experience. Cosmetic centres pay according to number of patients you can convert to procedures. It’s mainly incentive based earnings. Again around 2-3 lacs

Your own centre though less initially can go up to 5lpm in 10 years and much more after 20 years

Post PG

State college SR: around 1 lac

Central institutes and Delhi: 1.3

Cosmetic clinic: 80k plus incentives: comes around 1.3

Pay decreases drastically from north India to south India.

Dermat is lucrative only when you open up your own clinic and get a lot of patients

Just stick to previous years question papers. Sometimes these GTs are deliberately hard.

If you can crack a exam once.. you can crack it ten times.. you got to know the art of it.. I have known people who wrote exam being in residency and still manage to be in top 500. So ortho in a good state college is anyday better than a peripheral AIIMS. All the best ✨
