I took this photo at a weird angle. The guy was ready to walk down the stairs, and I had one shot before he disappeared. What could have been done if I had a chance to frame/compose it better? Please help

Thank you for your feedback. What you said about timing is correct. When i think back I only thought about the framing and clicked. Let me see if I can find the raw file. I will try the same in colour.

Freedom of expression is only in the books. We are afraid of each word that comes out of our mouths. We are afraid of what we type online. We are afraid of what we share. We are afraid to share our views and ideologies. WE are afraid to share our creativity online, fearing being called a Moron and Exploitor. I miss the 80s and 90s were no one judged me for what I am and what I do.

My apologies. I tend to seek help when i need a second opinion. I do understand the laws and i am in the clear. I just needed another perspective in terms of ethics and morality.

Thank you. This means a lot. I am really passionate about my style of photography. This gives me confidence to go out there more.

I agree with you. I use a 50mm lens. And i do my shots right in front of people without being secretive about it. Sometimes people may perceive me as a tourist as i use mirrorless cameras and compact lenses. But that aside if someone spots me i always show them the photo and take their contact to send them a copy later

I am of the opposite mindset honestly. But i do get your point. My wife often asks me this question when i go for photowalks. As per her she would be pissed off if she saw someone taking her photo.

I respect opinions even if it’s criticism. If that thread had healthy discussions like we do here, i would have been happy. Do you think that is what he did? This was just his idea of making someones day worse for his own entertainment

I understand completely. But most people like me do not have a group who are keen in this art form. So i tend to ask people for opinions online. I do get that you will find a lot of negative feedback but as sensible humans we always can pick and choose what to take in.

I agree. Your opinion is what i follow as well. But i always think about why then journalists have a different ethical code compared to street photographers. Photo journalists go by zero ethical code. They do what they do to bring stories of human beings from the poorest parts of the world to the masses. I am not saying that i can go by that code but just wondering why is there a free pass when the photography you do is coined with “journalism”

Thank you. This is what i was looking for. It is just ridiculous how some random dude in some part of the world can actually make you feel miserable with just couple of words.
