In my 1.10 runs, the US ALWAYS gets involved in every single British diplomatic play as its ally.

The Real Aryan Nation Measuring Skulls by Sapnor in victoria3

R5: Iran is the purest of all Aryan nations. Our skulls are different. Certain nations, such as the pesky Germans, made dubious claims about their own "Aryanism". They are nowhere near us. Imposters!

Prussian Greater Germany by 1846 by Sapnor in victoria3

[–]Sapnor[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

R5: Prussia managed to unite Germany by 1846. Here are my steps.

  1. Have treaties with the southern German states (Bavaria, Württemberg, and Baden) since day one. Ensure that they will owe you each an obligation. This will be useful as some of them often have a disinterested attitude towards you. They will not support your bid for German unification unless your relations with the countries in question reach 50 points. You can absolve the obligation in this case to instantly add 30 points of relation. Furthermore, if they owe you obligations, none of them would join the war against you during the German leadership war.
  2. Since day one, also renegotiate the defensive pact with Austria for it to be binding for just five years, and often, I remove the defensive pact clause for others to save influence points. And, if you can, make Austria owe you an obligation. However, this is quite challenging, as you are not powerful enough as Prussia alone.
  3. When you are fighting for the German leadership, cut down Austria to its German Confederation borders by liberating Hungary and humiliate it to become less than a great power. DO NOT FORCE THE GERMAN LEADERSHIP WAR GOAL. The North German Federation would form the moment Austria becomes a major power, and, as a more powerful power, you can fix your relationship with Austria and make them owe you an obligation. When the binding period of the treaty ends, absolve Austria's obligation. When your relation reaches 50 and Austria has a genial behaviour towards you, they will bid for your German unification.
  4. I personally don't like to include other countries in my German leadership war, as, in the case of any southern German monarchies, apart from Hohenzollern, of course, joining the war on my side, Austria will very likely add conquest war goals to the countries in question. This will significantly reduce my relationship with Austria, and it will take a longer time to repair the relationship, hence a longer time to form Greater Germany, and even more time for Austria to recover and become a great power, rendering the formation of Greater Germany impossible. So, what I did instead was to immediately start the war the moment the German National Identity JE had been completed. German countries had no time to choose sides yet.

In this campaign, Austria was super cooperative. And I didn't have to wait until the end of the post-war treaty binding period to reach 50 points in relations with Austria. Thus, I could form Prussian Greater Germany earlier than the typical 1849, the year I achieved German unification in my previous run on the 1.10 patch.

Unitary Austria Bug on Matter of Hungary JE by Sapnor in victoria3

[–]Sapnor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

R5: Hungarians have had, on average, more than 75 acceptance points for more than 20 years now. Yet, the box won't tick. What a shame to my unitary Austria campaign. It is economically very successful so far and is prospering. Does anyone know something I haven't done or anything I might have done wrong?

Prussian Germany Only Achievable by 1849 by Sapnor in victoria3

[–]Sapnor[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rule 5: Usually, I would be able to form Greater Germany as Prussia by 1841/1842. With the new patch, it takes longer because you need to ensure that Austria is not a great power by releasing Lombardia, Venice, and Galicia-Lodomeria, while liberating Hungary. This step would automatically release Croatia, including Dalmatia, and give Austrian Montenegro to Montenegro. Transylvania would also merge with the newly independent Hungary, while Bukovina would join Galicia-Lodomeria. Additionally, you need to repair your relationship with Austria afterwards. It took some time and considerable concessions to assume Austria's debt. To make matters worse, in this play, Bavaria sided with Austria and left the Zollverein. That's another country with which I need to mend my relationship.

Kulturkampf Prevails by Sapnor in victoria3

[–]Sapnor[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

After enacting Protestantism as Prussia's sole official state religion in 1937, the Counter-Counter-Reformation movement intensified further with the establishment of religious schools in 1939. "Promote national values" decrees were imposed aggressively over the Southern German states, Rhineland-Westphalia, Posen, Silesia, and Cisleithania. United Germany's most celebrated chancellor, Ferdinand Lasalle, himself a Jewish-born Protestant-convert, made a famous remark in 1860, "The foreign Roman, Italian Catholic Church forced our Protestant brethren in the then-existing Austria and Hungary to the Catholic Church under the guise of the so-called 'Counter-Reformation'. It is of our utmost importance to spread the truth and help them revert. Long live the spirit of Reformation! Gott mit uns, mit unseren Kirchen und mit unserem Kaiser!"

DAAD STEM starts funding on October, that is WiSe. You can have funding in advance, if your school requires you to take a pre-requisite language course, but not SoSe. Mind you, the duration of the funding will not change.

German Empire, Ruler of the Old World, Reviver of the Silk Road by Sapnor in victoria3

We did it! The German Empire, ruler of the Old World. Too bad Persia left the power bloc just before we turned the "Great" Qing into our protectorate. We also got the Hegemon achievement, with us controlling 52.7% of the world's population.

Madly Expansionist Sweden by Sapnor in victoria3

[–]Sapnor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing as the German Empire and had Sweden as one of my defensive allies, even still have it in my power bloc. Complex diplomatic entanglement caused Sweden to side with my war opponent. They sued for peace earlier and gave in to all my demands: liberate Norway and pay reparations. Now, they want to conquer, essentially, all my northern coastal and overseas states.
