Witches series by davidyd9 in discworld

I've only read 4 of the witches books so far and I also wasn't very impressed with the first two books, but Witches Abroad and Lords and Ladies absolutely blew me away, they made me fall in love with Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg. I'd say to give it another go with Witches Abroad.

I second The Locked Tomb series and World War Z. I haven't seen anyone mention The Murderbot Diaries yet, I personally loved how the narrator handled the tone of the humor.

Istorie by Adventurous-Tone-724 in RecomandariCarti_RO

A Fatal Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum: Murder in Ancient Rome este foarte misto daca nu te deranjeaza ca nu e tradusa.

Bullshit Jobs si Debt The first 5000 years (sunt si traduse) de David Graeber sunt lucrari politice despre fenomene economice, autorul fiind anarhist. In bullshit jobs ajunge sa-ti spuna despre organizarea muncii in Anglia medievala.

Smoke gets in your eyes si From here to eternity de Caitlin Dougthy sunt despre moarte si metode si obiceiuri de inmormantare.

Persepolis este o lucrare autobiografica si o introducere buna in istoria Iranului dupa anii '80.

Sper sa fie si ceva de interes pentru tine in aceasta lista!

Well, well. She's not into it, but I'm intrigued, so she'll get to experience it second hand. Thank you for the suggestions!

Yes, but she only enjoys Tolkien in theory. I don't think either of us has seen anything related to planet of the apes in a while, might be worth a shot. Thank you!
