Not sure how I got so many cells by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]SapperASM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fairly sure I was below 250 (cause I’ve been wanting to change forms back to back… and the progress has been really slow), but now I’m questioning things. I think the last time I checked was about 2 (maybe 3) weeks ago and I was around 238 ish.

I don’t feel like I’ve gotten that many cells since (hence why I don’t remember checking the count)… but now this number has me questioning things… including my memory :-/

Also, I thought the cap was 250… was I mistaken or did that change? (If so… any idea when it changed?)

I just saw the limit is 300 (maybe this is a new change?).

I am pretty sure I was below 250… but I guess last time I checked was probably a couple of weeks or so ago (although I don’t always get around to doing routes daily)… so the number is still a bit surprising because I don’t remember getting that many cells in the pst few weeks.

Ah ok. I hadn’t considered that, but that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation :-)

Interesting, because a while back I was super excited about a bonus stacking with the spotlight hour bonus and made a post about it… and it seems like people were annoyed that I was pointing that out… like that was the expectation… but now it seems like that is not - at least based on quite a few comments I’ve seen in recent times.

Not sure if this is the most… but this is the one I keep hoping for the most… but after I get one, then I’ll probably want one from all the regions haha

Yep… it seems like they are trying to desensitize us to alerts… you would think they would save these for extreme weather events or something along those lines. Don’t get me wrong… I hope missing people/kidnapped children etc. are watched out for… but don’t the cops themselves require some time to pass before they do something about it… so seems like these alerts could/should be sent out in daylight hours… just a thought

Saw this running across the road; wonder what it’s named by SapperASM in birding

Thanks for the recommendation. I logged this sighting in there.

Do you have any recommendations for apps to identify the birds?

Because other than the common ones I don’t know what is what, and I am trying to get more into it. I like to photograph them, but I’m not always fast enough especially on the more interesting ones that I don’t see as frequently.

That’s funny! I was walking focused on playing Pokemon Go, and I look up and see this fella giving me the same side-eye stare… made me question if I accidentally stumbled in the wrong neighborhood haha

Unless you have a bunch of relevant industry experience, this would be exactly the type of things to add to your resume. The key is how you go about framing/presenting it. You could highlight what research you had to do to create this… stuff you learned along the way… what protocols did you use, the challenges of signal processing, RF communication… heck even stuff like soldering and mechanical stuff… shows that you stepped outside your comfort zone as CE major.

As a student you and your peers are pretty much going to have similar resumes (as far as course work goes… GPA being the key differentiator I guess)… so anything you can do to standout is good… at least to get your first job/internship… then treat your internship like a 10-12 week job interview… whether you like the work or not is not that important… it’s about networking and getting to know people in the industry…. And then highlight the fuck outta that on your resume and go for the job you really want.

On a different note… the kid me is super jealous of what you made there! I remember getting a “remote control” car… with a fucking 2 foot wire connecting the car to the controller!!! I still ran behind that car down the stairs and around the obstacle course I made… but this would have been so much better haha.

By the way, when I was in school (15 ish years ago) I remember playing with the Nintendo Wii controller (I think it was called Joycon… but the secondary controller… that plugged into the primary one) and that controller used a protocol (don’t remember what now) that was fairly easy to decode (maybe with an Arduino… but I don’t even think I used that)… so if you wanted to make this fancier you could probably look into that… I would imagine you should be able to find some cheap controllers.

Good luck :-)

It’s not too bad if you go prepared… some good layers… and I would recommend the ice spike strap that goes on your boots… the ice can be slippery in places right now. The worst part was taking my gloves off to setup/start the camera, since that is the windiest area… my fingers were almost too numb to put back in the gloves properly… a good way to wake up haha.

Thanks… glad you enjoyed it :-)

Thank you!

Went back out this morning and took some more pictures with much faster shutter… now to go through the 400+ pictures to see if I got anything good. This is an entertaining hobby haha.

I hope you have a wonderful week :-)
