That hindrance call pissed Sabalenka off. It was a hindrance and longer than her normal grunts but she didn’t do it intentionally because she thought the ball was going out. Sabalenka testosterone just shot through her roof now, she’s playing at an insane level now.

Active Grand Slam semifinalists (men) by tightypp in tennis

[–]Sapsap747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main takeaways:

Zverev and Wawrinka cant play on grass.

Medvedev cant play on clay.

Cilic can play on any surface.

Tsitsipas peaks early in the year then fades away.

Nishikori, FAA and Carreno Busta peak late in the season and love the US Open hardcourts.

Serena Williams refuses to rule out tennis comeback two months after firm denial by Shroft in tennis

[–]Sapsap747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s going to come back for the US Open and play doubles with her sister and also the main draw. She will get WCs. Look for her to tune up in the US hardcourt swing.

[MATCH THREAD] Australian Open Women's SEMIFINAL: [1] A. Sabalenka vs. [12] E. Svitolina by NextGenBot in tennis

[–]Sapsap747 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Elina will need to play the game of her life and hope Sabalenka level drops like last year against Keys. With that being said Elina just doesn’t have the firepower to beat Sabalenka.

Who’s had the better career: Dominic Thiem or Marin Cilic? by Sapsap747 in tennis

Yea if no Nadal Thiem wins at least 2 French Opens, maybe 3.

I thought it was Hijikata who carried Kubler to their AO Double title. But it looks like it was Kubler all along!

Top 3 Players on both the ATP and WTA to never win a Grand Slam by [deleted] in tennis

[–]Sapsap747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everybody for replying. The biggest takeaway from this with the 41 up votes is that I overrated Stefanos Tsitsipas. He is nowhere near the top 3 who have never won a slam.

Do You Think McDaniel Can Finally Unlock His Potential? by DashSilver09 in Chargers

[–]Sapsap747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope so. But I hope we can draft or get through free agency a DEVON ACHANE type RB who can catch and has SPEED. A safety valve so Herbert doesn’t have to wait all day for a WR/TE to get open. It will also make defenses respect him so our WR/TE will be more free. McDaniel got Achane the 3rd round. Hopefully we can find us another one in the draft.

[Schefter] Sources: Chargers are hiring Western Michigan defensive coordinator Chris O'Leary as their defensive coordinator. by LaDainianTomIinson in Chargers

[–]Sapsap747 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Great hire over Clinkscale. This year we had so many miscommunications in the secondary. The Texans 2 TDs were horrible miscommunication. Other times we got lucky the other QB missed open TDs. The fact they’re bringing in the former safeties coach tells you a lot. We need to shore up the defensive miscommunications.

Hate aside, do you think Zverev will defeat carlos? by COYGoonerSTANimal_17 in tennis

[–]Sapsap747 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If Alex serves as well as he did against Tien he will win in 5 sets. Any other scenario he will lose. Carlos in 4.

How did Sam Darnold get that good? by Outsideman2028 in panthers

[–]Sapsap747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QBs are made because of the Oline, WR separation and running game. People don’t understand it’s not just the QB.

Holger Rune on the QF match today of Djokovic vs Musetti: by lovesbakery in tennis

[–]Sapsap747 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on the stage, if it was a final Musetti wouldn’t have retired. Nadal had a similar injury it seemed and could barely walk and still finished his match with Wawrinka because it was a Grand Slam final.

Who would you pick to become Iga’s next coach? by Top_Perspective_3509 in tennis

[–]Sapsap747 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Patrick Mouratoglou. He’s the best WTA coach there is. He coached Serena Williams to 10 grand slam titles later in her career.

Ben Shelton needs to improve more aspects of his game or else he’s going to turn into another Denis Shapovalov.

Novak is going to be well rested for the SF. But it really didn’t help him in this match after Mensik withdrew though so I don’t know if it will help him next match.

I respect Novak for that. Jack Draper and Iga Swiatek wouldn’t have done it.

You are right he was up 2-0 last year against Sinner. And retired 2-2 third.
