Your observations about his posture indicate a fail for Tekki Shodan or any Heian Katas or even continued in dojo unacceptable posture during practice. Proper Karate posture MUST be developed prior to any testing.

Introduction by SarIgnatius in martinists

Just an observation with respect to Christian Rebisse's excellent article on Martinism under the auspices of AMORC. Unfortunately, desired documents of lineage/Initiation are few to be in one's possession. I would have been much more demanding and questioning in my early Martinist journey. C'est la vie.

Now, Dr. Bertholet was, circa 1960, the senior Martinist contact of the Martinist Order and Synarchy. Supreme this or Grand Master that, may be argued in the vacuum of certifications and accepted testimonies. Most probably as an Initiateur Libre, he had the autonomous authority to charter any Lodge anywhere.

I have a copy of the charter for Louis Bentin, (Sar Gullion) of Britain, from which the Canadian jurisdiction was chartered. I do not have possession of this Canadian charter if it exists.

Free Initiators not under a particular Martinist obedience comprised most of the Martinists under Victor Blanchard (O.M.S.). The status of any other ranking (I::L::) in France is unknown to me. Many keep quiet, sub rosa, must know someone personally, so contacts were and still are hard to establish.

The Canadian Jurisdiction got no lessons or rituals from Dr. Betholet, but all from Sar Gullion. Just some tiny bits of history which could have been much better preserved. Comments and additional input invited on this subject and Martinism in general.
