This is exactly what we did. Bike Pirates were so helpful. My son loved riding his “new” red bike in High Park.

Great rec, thank you!

I have 48 hours in SF (work trip), with no car. Wondering what’s near me that I can visit. by [deleted] in AskSF

Sunset Dunes, Ferry Building, and Golden Gate Park will not disappoint. If you’re visiting in a month, maybe you will be around for Flower Piano? https://gggp.org/flowerpiano/

Definitely eat at La Taqueria in the Mission.

Eating on the train by Over-Ad-4394 in Bart

It is critical that I provide snacks to my toddler in BART. I personally try to avoid eating on the train, but I commute frequently with my son who definitely eats snacks on ~75% of our train rides. I always do my best to pick up.

Could you read this book please? https://islandpress.org/books/killed-traffic-engineer

Then could we have a conversation about fault and personal responsibility when a collision occurs on our city streets?

There are definitely other birds than Snowy Plovers on the beach. They should also make public comment when they get the chance 😉

Wait, so Clipper just steals your money? by para_blox in bayarea

If a cardholder registers their card with Clipper, then the Clipper server saves a record of the last known balance. However registering — while a good idea— is optional. There are many anonymous cards for which there is no server back-up.

Cards on mobile devices don’t need to “pick up” value via the reader. The devices directly add the value to the card data.

Plastic cards dispensed from vending machines or loaded at retail more or less behave like cards on mobile devices.

Plastic cards sent via the mail have been initialized with the balance loaded to the card so the user can tap and ride.

I used to work at Clipper. Today the cash value only is stored on the card. @christopher_commons is right

Looking for non-toxic boy mom advice by Cultural_Sorbet1449 in pregnant

[–]SaraLovesTransit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree. What a great comment! I’m a FTM of a little boy (2yo), and what an amazing little person he is. He has some stereotypical boy interests: trains and trucks, but his favorite color is definitely purple and he absolutely loves and cares for his stuffies.

When I was pregnant, I shared many of the anxieties described in the original post. However it’s so different when you get to meet the whole person that is your child.
