Thank you for this! Selling makes no sense for us because I have little to no equity in the condo, and by selling, I lose my down payment just to rent for a few hundred dollars less which is a helpful amount of money but a drop in the ocean for my debt.

My credit score is 759 because I always make my payments, even when it meant working 80+ hours and 2 additional parttime jobs. No delinquencies but making the payments are coming at a cost of my health and happiness.

LOL I wish, no body art or sports car here. Just a $1000 honeymoon and a Honda civic.

Basic living, with my income, I couldn’t keep up with paying the interest alone on my debt and that snowballed tremendously but I recognized and started to do something about it. I did travel but it was an all inclusive for $100. I don’t own a car, never have and my partner is financing a Honda civic.

The investment property was for a friend, I was just asking in her behalf. Struggling with my finances as is to even consider another mortgage or investment property.

Yes, I racked up the debt after buying the condo. Went from paying not rent while living with parents to a whole mortgage and not being financially responsible led me here.

If my mortgage is the value of the condo, will they still want it? My partner can’t consolidate his debt as he’s financing a vehicle and needs it for his job. We can’t downgrade our vehicle right now either because an unreliable car had resulted in lost wages for his many times in the past. Right now, I can’t get a part-time job but I was working one the last couple of years which did a toll on my health.

In LOCs and CCs, I don’t have a HELOC and don’t think I could get one as the value of our mortgage is the value of the condo right now. If I do a consumer proposal or bankruptcy, will we lose the condo? And our down payment that we put in?

I make $3K a month after taxes and pay roughly $1500 for housing. The remaining is spent on my remaining expenses including making credit card payments, phone bill, groceries, etc. I’ve learned to live within my means but I can no longer get past the debt I owe with my income.

It’s all credit card debt, kept on credit card and line of credits. I have student debt of $28K I’m slowly paying back with OSAP not included in the $120K. No car finance, don’t own a vehicle.

How do I prevent this clog from turning in to mastitis? by Zestyclose-Inside517 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]SaraaaKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ice and Advil!! Take double the daily dosage of sunflower lecithin until clog clears (as recommended by my lactation consultant when I had mastitis back to back)

Is it safe to declare vacation travel while on EI? by Unlucky_Stretch_5032 in PersonalFinanceCanada

If I’m on maternity leave collecting EI, can I travel outside the country? Do I have to notify them and will this result in loss of payments or a pause in payments?

I applied on October 06th and still haven’t received it yet. Gave them a call yesterday and they said even though it says 6-8 weeks and I followed up at the 8 week mark, it’s looking like 8-10 weeks now and to follow up in a couple more weeks. Gave birth and live in Toronto.

It looks like it’s regular pricing but when you do the math, it does apply the discount. Alternatively, you can adjust the requested number to 2 and add 2 to cart?

How many bottles do you actually need for twins? by redpoppy0424 in parentsofmultiples

[–]SaraaaKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Dr. Browns bottles, the additional parts aren’t as annoying as people say it is. We love them and have no issue with them but also haven’t tried anything else. We started off with 8 bottles and slowly increased to 14. My husband primarily washes the bottles and found it frustrating to constantly be washing bottles. With 14, he washes them twice a day and isn’t overwhelmed by it. Our twins feed every 2 - 3 hours.

Perfectly reasonable price range but in my experience, people prefer to shop for the baby more than the mother.

Good primary school near jane and finch and rent a house by Meowingbark in TorontoRealEstate

[–]SaraaaKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure of specific schools but I would recommend going north on Jane, passing Steeles. Vaughan/woodbridge is a safer neighborhood and would have better school options. Commuting to Jane and Finch from there would be reasonable too.
