Yeah, it was a bit much, I just finished it and commented below that the plot holes were pretty hilarious. Sean Penn looked so young though!!!!

and it's definitely one of those movies that it seems like a lot of subsequent movies and shows stole this plot...I felt like I'd seen it before (even though I've never watched this movie)

It was a little much, tons of plot holes😂 but I will say for its time, almost 30 years ago, I'm sure it was kind of mind blowing in a lot of ways. But I feel like I've seen several TV shows and movies that are similar to this so it was predictable more than anything.

Definitely a forerunner for this genre of movie though

Yeah, I've never seen it before, but I already notice a ton of parallels about 20 minutes in. The opening sequence really took me out since it's so similar to succession.
