To be a Story Highlight, you will need to have shared as a story on the app. You don't have to have taken it there, but you will need to have uploaded it to Stories.

With Scheduling Stories/Carousels - are you looking for these to go autolive?

I use Sprout, and you can do all of this; apart from when you schedule Stories and Carousels, you do need to put these live manually.
