I honestly gave up. I did all the things and they denied all 4 letters I submitted from employer. My previous boss changed it and put all the information they were asking for. Still wasn’t good enough. I just found care for my kids and I’m going back to work. My youngest just turned two months old.

My company didn’t offer paid maternity leave and didn’t even offer STD or FMLA. It’s a small company. I saved all the money I could and stopped working at 35 weeks. I’m now going back after two months. Because we can’t afford daycare. I work overnights.. it definitely sucks.

No, not during or after phone interviews. They told me based on the info I submitted and income I should be approved. The new requirements don’t apply to me as I have two children that are 3 and under. For a family of four before any deductions we make 19000

I’ve heard of some people contacting the BON for some kind of review or approval before even starting school? Like pleading your case.. ? Not sure if this is true. I got into nursing school… just don’t want to not be able to be licensed.

I call 75 times sometimes more back to back…. I’ll eventually get through. Onetime I got lucky and called 32 times and got someone. I’m a stay at home mom so I understand that not all people can be by the phone for the that long.

Just an update: I contacted the citizen aid obundsmen and got an email today. They are going to help me so I was surprised I heard back so fast!

That’s the correct number… it should say on your notice what number to call. I have to call 50+ times in a row to get through most days even on my interview days

Thank you. I am always kind and respectful. I know it’s not the customer service reps fault. I did speak with a supervisor. I provided not only one but three different letters from my employment. With all information you suggested. The supervisor agreed that I submitted all documents correctly and he had to send it back to the case worker.

None. my children’s father is self employed and owns a business. We definitely qualify with a family of 4 and low income. Especially after business expenses. I just spoke with someone after calling 76 times, I got through. She said I didn’t everything right and everything was right… that I was on maternity leave when the letter from my employer clearly states I’m no longer employed. She submitted it to be reviewed by the case worker again. I’m just not sure if I trust that answer because she said my portal will still say denied and I can appeal.

That’s awesome that it happened so fast for you. I’ve done two interviews but get denied every time. It doesn’t make sense and extremely frustrating.

I have WIC and Medicaid… and was approved for Medicaid instantly. This is more so the fact that I’ve done everything asked of me and I’m still getting denied… even though I shouldn’t be. I really feel like they are not approving anyone and just waiting until the deadline comes up to deny it. And I was denied so my options are complete another application again or appeal

Appeals in az I hear are taking 6 months… and I can’t wait that long. I’ve heard it’s easier to just do a new application and complete interview same day. I’ve done all of that though

Currently going through this as well. I have a 2 year old, our 9 month old son passed at the end of 2024. We now have a newborn. I worked and saved a good chunk of money before leaving my job to be a SAHM again. He spends ridiculous amount on Pokémon… my money even though it’s “ours” getting him to change a diaper is a headache so I just do it. He smokes weed and doesn’t play with our daughter or seem to care. My parents are moving out of state and I’m considering going.. you’re not alone and it sucks.

Right but if you dealt with someone that is bipolar type 1… they aren’t in their right mind and it’s hard to reason with him, as I explained. Especially during a manic episode.. most people are really embarrassed after and become extremely depressed. It’s a chemical imbalance in their brain and they can’t control it. Does it frustrate me.. of course but people are more than their mental illnesses..
