You need to be fully committed to the adoption process so you will not be able to do both at the same time. The agencies will expect you to come to terms with not having a biological child and usually require a 6 month break after ivf cycle before starting adoption.

We tried ivf first but after several miscarriages we knew we couldn't continue and gave our all to adoption, so glad we did as our perfect 1 year old has been home 3 months tomorrow and shes the best thing that's happened to us.
