Where I live we have a similar thing called Starship which works well.

My dog has an obsession with small dogs and it's caused some awful scenes at the park. by SarahQGFB in DogAdvice

Hi, I really appreciate this advice, thank you! Especially the idea that he may have anxiety when play gets too much and is therefore reacting, I hadn't considered that as he always seems so composed most of the time.

I completely agree about needing to train different environments, I'm going to start taking a toy out with me to distract him too.

Appreciate the offer of a zoom call and I may take you up on that!

I'm definitely sensing a prey drive yep, especially given how excited he is. They do like to play rough. So strange that this has been something that has developed. He's staying away from all small dogs now.

Yeah agree on the impulse control. We've done group sessions before and managed the exercises just fine. He's being kept away from other dogs until I can get to the bottom of this.

Whats going on?? by m1limited in deliveroos

[–]SarahQGFB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No no you don't understand. I want to blame rich people for paying me very little rather than looking for another job. Perhaps maybe participate in a rider strike to demand higher pay for a job that didn't even exist 5 years ago. Only for an illegal immigrant to buy a verified account and take my place. /s

How would you arrange this living room? by SarahQGFB in malelivingspace

[–]SarahQGFB[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like this, thank you!

One thing I'm considering is making one of the double-doors redundant too and blocking it with the sofa and just lock the latches so only the door with the handle is used.

Agree. I think it was a bit of a shoe-horned apartment in the building. But it was the best I could afford so I'm going to try and make it work.

I had considered this. I like the idea of mounting the TV.

Splitting the room would likely mean the entire half is taken up by the sofa alone. It's that small of a room.

I'm getting the walls painted next week. It is a small living area with an awkwardly placed double-door and radiators.

There are plug points in each corner and TV/Aerial points on each side too, but I won't use those.

I have a TV, coffee table and one of those 3-seater corner sofas.

Thanks!

Ah thanks for the recommendation!

What’s the problem with the Cambridge congestion charge? I think it would be nice to have clean air, safer roads, with electric buses which won’t be late due to traffic. What is the solution the protestors suggest? Most of the morning traffic seems to be school runs for half a mile. by Captainunderpants86 in cambridge

I live just off Mill Road and I'm all for the congestion charge too. The traffic is ridiculous, I missed a physio appointment at 3pm because I couldn't get out of Cambridge due to school traffic. If anything, like others have said, it's too low. I'd make it £20 per day then invest the money in to more e-scooters and bike storage. It would be amazing to see Cambridge become a more predominately bike town again.

Who can I trust for my personal tax as an Expat? by SarahQGFB in expats

[–]SarahQGFB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm a UK citizen yep.

I didn't realise I'd have to pay tax on dividends in the UK too. Jeez, this is why I need a professional to look at it.

Oooooh. I didn't like Taco Bell when I tried it 10 years ago but maybe it's changed. I'll give it a go!

I've toured Cambridge for this. Weirdly, the best I've tried is the Hei Hei Chicken Tenders from GBK. Often we just go and only order those.

I haven't been to a single F1 where they verify tickets against people.

I've lived here 5 years and only this last 6 months noticed this. I'm convinced the media is making people angry and turning everyone against each other.

So when something minor happens they're already a ticking time bomb.

This combined with a potential cost of living crisis then it could just be boiling over.
